If you were to leave the room momentarily,
and come back in to find your 2 year old sharing some of her lunch meat
with your 6 month old, would that be bad?
And would it be bad if said 6 month old had huge estatic eyes
while sucking on said lunch meat?
I'm just curious.
I might have heard that that happened to someone else.
Anyway, moving on...
Bought one of these yesterday:
Sadie is SO close to crawling and there is no way in Hades I'm going to miss
it when she first does. Jimmy has to be there with me, so I'm going to take this bad boy everywhere.
Realistically speaking
I'm sure I'll miss it anyway, b/c I'll be cleaning up vomit
or pee or something...
And I bet you a million dollars that while I'm cleaning she'll
crawl across the house and eat my dinner off my plate
but you never know,
stranger things have happened.
I also bought one of these:
My Canon printer went kaput, and I was told that the cost of shipping,
fixing it, etc. would be just as much as buying a new one.
So I took that as a sign I should just buy a new one.
You see, things tend to break as soon as Jimmy leaves.
I'm just grateful it was only the printer.
It's been the car on previous deployments, so I'm counting my blessings.
I'm pretty sure the printer isn't the only thing acting up around here.
I'm fairly confident that she isn't silently telling me she loves me with those eyes.
I think it's closer to disgust.
I don't know why....perhaps it's because most days I don't make it out
of pajamas by noon, much less brush my hair.
Or maybe it's because I'm always losing something or tripping over something
or forgetting the word for something,
saying harper, can you help mama with the ummm, ummmm, ummmmmmm
and harper completes my sentences saying
laundry?
toys?
corkscrew? (JUST KIDDING ON THAT ONE).
Okay, that's all I've got..oh, except a new Webster's Pages page.
Hope you have a beautiful day!
xo

Hilarious! Your post, that is ;) I was thinking about getting a Flip because it's compact and convenient but I was wondering about the quality of the video. I'd love to hear your thoughts on it after using it a bit. Or maybe I should ask Harper, at the rate things are going she may be the one using it to tape Sadie eating lunch meat to distract her while playing with YOUR new toy! :) LOL! She's adorable! Have a beautiful day!

I just bought the Flip (pink)...I am not normally a pink person, but I had to have it in pink...maybe to lay claim to it. Anyway I love it...its so cute and portable...even smaller than my point and shoot. Good Luck with it!!

hey steph,
i've been eyeing that flip video for a couple weeks now and am considering buying one. they look so easy and fun!
i love harper's face...she must keep you laughing all day and sadie seems so sweet:)
hope you have a great tuesday!

I also wonder what happens when a baby happens to eat a hot dog and peanut butter cracker off he floor that her big brother dropped...theoretically speaking of course:) I've been there so many times! That pic of H is to die for! So much personality! Love the LO, what a great way to document the girls while J is gone!

Not getting the right word can come about from not sleeping enough and generally being stressed. given you circumstances, that sounds about right. also, the not getting out of yoru pjs until noon is really more normal than most stay at home mom's let on. It's not laziness, it busy-ness. You don't need out of those pjs to do the things that need to get done, so just go with the flow, and get some sleep. Great layout! Blessings!

Sorry about your printer, mine is giving me fits. We are trying to play nicely with one another but it could come to blows here shortly. Then I'll need a new one too and I'd love the vivera ink one.
Beautiful layout! Been thinking about you, hope everything is going well!

how funny - that lunchmeat scene - i can just see it! i love your page too. i haven't seen webster's pages in person, but i love them on the computer.

Hilarious!! You have your hands full with Miss Harper!! Let me know how you like the Flip, i am thinking of getting one also! Have a great day!

i love your sense of humor :)
theoretically speaking, i heard about a 10 month old pulling off the top bun of your chicken sandwich while her big sis was choking on a piece of lettuce. i'm pretty sure that mayonnaise and lettuce are not recommended for babies. but the pride and glee on that little face...tell your "friend" that i'm sure all will be fine!
and that layout...it's perfect.

Brushing your hair? What the heck is that?! I swear it's been at least 6 weeks since I've done that. Thank God for the person who invented the ponytail.
Posted by: Helen | 08/19/2008 at 02:58 PM
Harper is too cute. I've found that since having kids I can't remember anything. I'll stop mid-sentence b/c I forgot the rest of my thought (cracks my husband up).
PS: I gave you the Arte y Pico award on my blog. I'm sure you've received this already but just to let you know how much I enjoy your blog :)

Posted by: laura | 08/19/2008 at 04:14 PM
Brushing your hair and day clothes are totally over rated!
Perhaps you could tempt Sadie to crwal by waving some lunch meat around on the other side of the room???
Posted by: Kirsty | 08/19/2008 at 04:20 PM
Don't worry Steph, you are NOT alone with not getting out of your pj's til noon. I don't think I have since Ashleigh was born 2 1/2 years ago!
That pic of Harper is priceless! Don't you just LOOOOVVE toddlers? LOL
Posted by: JenniferT | 08/19/2008 at 04:34 PM
mwahahahaha!
theoretically speaking, of course, the said 6 month old will probably be just fine.
and the layout is stunning! can't quite put my finger on it because I'm not a big fan of brown, but I totally want to scraplift it!
Posted by: aja | 08/19/2008 at 05:09 PM
Steph, you are so funny. Enjoy your new toys! Love the layout, such a great way to document the last month for your husband. Take care.

OMG - I have pictures of my daughter from 21 years ago and she has that same look on her face. I should dig it out and send it to you :)
Love your sense of humor - thanks for the laugh!

Stephanie the next time you bring Sadie to the pediatrician for a check up. And the ped. tells you..."okay I think she's ready for some solids". You can mention that Oh she's already enjoying them. She prefers turkey and salami grinders, with a few dill pickles, light on the mayo. I hope that's okay for her? LOL
I think that is so funny. Hey it could be alot worse than lunch meat. One day H may give her a lollipop and you find it stuck in Sadie's hair. Poor Sadie ;)
And I have a hp photosmart printer and it prints out awesome pics. and the ink cartridges last so long. I've only replaced a couple of them so far and I purchased the multi color kit, it's much cheaper from Best Buy.
If you ever wanted to get another great printer, I also have the Epson Picture Mate Dash. And it's portable, it takes all the memory cards. The quality of the pics if better than printing from Costco, walmart, cvs and photolabs. I just love it. They sell for just under 100. Not that I don't love the quality of the hp, just love my little Epson too.
Thanks for the eye candy too!

You better watch out, I think you have a wild one on your hands!! You know the saying...3 going on 13...or I say 13 going on 21!! Good luck to us all. HEHE!!

I was laughing out loud Steph, that lunch meat bit, was so funny!
I love that pic of Harper is so pretty and I love that new layout. I'm always impressed with how you can use big pp as your background and still make your photos be center stage- so gorgoeus!

heheheeeeee you are too funny! Humm, one would surmise if all is well that theoretically no harm was done. The was the surmise made when a theoretical pre schooler child gave another small toddler popcorn. It was reported that the 22 month old has however, developed a whine when in the presence of popcorn. All second hand information of course ((sweet smile that could melt butter))).
I am lovin' the looks that Harper comes up with. I'm thinking she is saying "wait a moment Mr. Demill, I am NOT ready for my close up.
Loving the layout... I adore browns with pale blues... sides which it is down right beautiful!
