Hey everyone, yes I'm still here! Thank you so much for all of your comments and emails about cold remedies.
I feel like I'm not completely out of the woods yet, but it definitely hasn't turned into a full-fledged sickness.
All that's left is a slightly sore throat and major sleepiness.
Yay!! Hopefully crisis averted, thanks to all of you!
I mainly haven't blogged b/c there is nothing AT ALL to say.
Same old, same old over here.
I'm looking forward to Thanksgiving next week, we will be going to my parents house.
Thanksgiving is J's absolute favorite holiday, I know he hates being away.
I'm pretty sure he won't even get a turkey dinner. =(
I'm thankful for the distraction of my parents house.
No use in sitting around thinking about how it COULD be.
I need to concentrate on how blessed I am. And I really AM.
Last Thanksgiving I was pregnant and miserable
(especially when I was warned by J's grandfather not to eat all the food as I was walking through the buffet line) good times.
This Thanksgiving I have this sweet girl:
PP- Crate Paper, vintage sheet music
die cuts- Amy Butler/K and Co.
alpha- Making Memories
Can you believe how big she is getting?
Y'all she is the sweetest thing ever. Yes, maniacal too, but so so sweet.
People constantly stop me and say she is the happiest baby they've ever seen.
Those of you who have been reading my blog for a while might recall that
I was in complete shock when I found out I was pregnant with Sadie.
H was only a year old and we didn't think we were quite ready for another baby.
I knew Jimmy's deployment was coming up and oh man, was I scared.
I had so many conflicting emotions during my pregnancy.
I was so worried I wouldn't know how to share my love, how to give Sadie what she would need.
But oh, does the Lord know what he is doing even when I don't.
He gave us the happiest, loviest, funniest, sweetest baby right when we needed her.
She has been such a sweet gift and especially now, she always brightens my days.
A gentle reminder to me that I am not the one in charge.
I cannot plan out every little detail in my life.
Right now I'm having to think about that a lot,
I'm having some things happen to me health-wise that have made me try to analyze everything. Will we have more kids? Should we? When?
And Then I hear the Lord softly say "Relax. I have plans for you. You are not in charge. Just listen".
So I do.
And He continues to bless me.
I hope you all have a beautiful weekend and that YOU are blessed beyond your heart's desires.
Stephanie
p.s. My sweet friend Kelly is applying for an exciting job opportunity, and she's using her blog to show how her internet presence makes her a unique candidate...pretty cool.

It really just fills my heart with joy!
Sadie is just precious!
so glad you are feeling better.
love you and praying for your family!

Oh Steph,
What a wonderful entry to read today :)
And you are so right, we do not know what life has in store for us, but He certainly does.
All going on in my life concerning my daughter, all along we know we are blessed because no matter how ill she is, there is somebody else who will not recover the way she will.
Puts everything in perpective, right? :)
I wish you a wonderful Thanksgiving next week, we all have so much to be thankful for :)
Hugs to you, Jody

Thanks for your words today...I was in need of the reminder that God has a plan for me. Mysterious how the Lord works, but I think your words were especially meant for me today. So I am taking my deep breath, relaxing and letting the Lord guide my way.

Thank you so much for sharing what God is saying to you. It touched my heart as I have been worrying lately about how things aren't turning out the way I had planned. I need to remember to relax and trust him. Thanks so very much for the reminder.

Hi Stephanie! Good to see you back again. I always look forward to reading your blog. You are always so happy and optimistic. We could all use some of that. Glad you're feeling better! What a cute page of Sadie. My first two girls are the same age difference as yours and it was so fun to see them interact at those ages. A few years later, it's a different story!! My husband's favorite holiday is Thanksgiving too! Have a great weekend!

So glad that you are starting to feel a bit better. Thanksgiving at your parents will be perfect! Amazing the gifts that God gives to you and at the moment of a surprise pregnancy, you panic and then guess what your blessings come ten fold. Love the LO that you did of Sadie. Could just reach through and give her a big ole kiss, that face is priceless! Wishing your family a blessed and peaceful Holiday!

Glad you are not suffering too much from the cold virus. Concerned and praying for whatever other health issue has you pondering the future of your family planning. Loving that Sadie is such a joy and blessing! Praying as always for all of you. Glad to see that God is speaking peace into your heart.

love to read your blog Stephanie and see your beautiful work. I like what you said today. Reminds me of the words of a song: Ain't it funny how you think you got your whole life planned, just to find that it was never really in your hands :)

I totally just blogged about a time I had to learn this exact same lesson! Too funny.
Anyway - hang tight! And sing "He's got the whole world in His hands" over and over with your girls. It's a good lesson for all, I've found... ;)
