Hey girlies! Happy Happy Thursday!
I'm in that place right know where I need to CALM DOWN and get ahold of myself.
Know what I mean? I'm making to-do-lists that are spin offs of my to-do-lists. It's ridiculous.
I need to just breathe. This is my sixth move in as many years. I think I've got the hang of it by now!
We sent our orders to Fort Benning, so I'm hoping we will soon get word on which house we will be getting.
I am hoping for these things: spanish tile, hardwood floors, 4 bedrooms. Based on our eligibility, I think we will get at least 2 of those things. We shall see.
Okay, enough of that.
I wanted to share some photos from West Point.
Jimmy was a cadet there once upon a time, and we've been dying to go back for years now. Our best friends, the Bilottas, got a teaching job there recently, and that was just the push we needed.
We have missed them so much since they left. I've written about Sarah here before. She's a dear friend. A friend of my heart, know what I mean?
We were so sad to have to leave our friends (yet again). It's part and parcel of the military life, but it breaks my heart each and every time.
We had a wonderful wonderful time. And I want to go back every single year.
We love you Nick, Sarah, Cole, Soph, and Max!
have a beautiful, blessed day sweet friends.
xoxo
walking to the football game:
beautiful scenery outside of the stadium:
visiting trophy point the day we left:
This one CRACKS me up. Like I have tears in my eyes from laughing so hard right now. I LOVE EMBARASSING HIM. It's kind of one of my missions in life. ;)
Stephanie,
I love your family!
the pictures are great!
You are so blessed!
I don't like moving either!
we have only moved once since we had the girls and that was
3 years ago. I see a move in our future soon though!
good luck!

Moves are stressful no matter how many times it's done: 1st, 6th or 10th. You guys will be fine!
And you have spanish tile at the Army base? Totally jealous over here in Marine Corps land!

Great photos Steph -- taken in my neck of the woods, where I grew up...beautiful country there, eh? {sigh} I miss it a lot -- especially since living in south Florida the last (too many) years...I sooo miss the seasons!
Take a deep breath and enjoy your sweet family and the process...it's all a blink of an eye! Before you know it, the move will be over and you'll be all settled in.

OMG! Those cheerleader pictures are absolutely precious. I especially love the argyle tights!
I was just thinking today wondering when y'all were going to move to GA, and hoping that I might be lucky enough to get to meet you in person (since I'm just a blog reader now) when you move here.
Hope you have lots of calm moments in the midst of the craziness a move can bring.

Okay, I just have to say it....GO NAVY-BEAT ARMY !!!!!!!!!!!
I remember my one and only trip to West Point about ten years ago . I was so shocked at the "town" just outside the gates (I was expecting something like Annapolis - NOT!). Loved the Hotel Thayer, though.

Gorgeous photos Stephanie. We visited West Point when I was a kid (my great grandfather went there and met my great grandmother at a dance there). I remember it being very beautiful scenery and I remember it feeling like a very important place.
Wishing you lots of luck with your move. Moving is never fun or easy, no matter how many times you've done it before. If I were in TX I'd totally offer to help you.

Great photos Stephanie!
When you were talking about getting yourself together, it reminded me of a certain
sign I'm seeing everywhere right now.
It says: Keep Calm and Carry On.
LOL!
Loves.

Hi Stephanie, I came over here through Kendra's blog and am so glad I did! I've sure been missing out on some amazing talent and stories! Your little girls are so adorable and your DH is a true hero. Is he a Ranger? I listened to your interview and I just want to commend you for your strength and also thank you and Jimmy for your service!
