photo mosaic created at big huge labs
friday turned out to be an AWESOME day. remember i wasn't sure if snow was even coming?
and if you are wondering...why yes, they are wearing rain boots. it's georgia. we do not own snow boots. HA!
well it came, alright. and stuck! it was beautiful. looking out the window in my kitchen... i felt like i was in a big old house in new england. except it came and was gone just as quickly. and didn't make much mud or mess. it was pretty much the perfect snow. one thing i did NOT like about living in upstate NY was the mess when the snow melted this was painless.
except for poor frosty. inventive name, huh? harper named him. hahaha!
j and h worked hard to make frosty. his eyes? are glitter hearts. and yes, that is a binkie in his mouth. don't even ask.
we lost poor frosty today. harper looked out the window and screeched
"OHHH NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO, FROSTY ONLY HAS HIS BOOTY LEFT!!!!". and indeed he did. see above. bless his heart.
i'm pretty sure he died of embarrassment. let's just say there was an "incident".
said incident involved little harper attempting to put the carrot on his bottom snowball. in a very inappropriate place.
j&i laughed until we cried about that one. so so funny.
that's it for today...oh except i do have a few studio calico march sneaks to share!!
this month's kit is called quilting bee, and it's lovely. absolutely lovely. i chose to order both addons, i didn't get the project kit this month, but i think i'm going to wish i would have gotten it.
hope you had a fantastic long weekend!
see you soon! xo
THIS WAS QUIT A HUGE SNOWMAN. GLAD YOUR FAMILY HAD FUN BUT @ THE SAME TIME IT IS SAD TO SEE YOUR HARD WORK MELT AWAY. GREAT PICS!! :)

Haha! You had me at "attempting to put the carrot on his bottom snowball". The snowman was HUGE so I'm not surprised! It's amazing how much snow we're all getting. Especially Georgia! I've missed so many school days because of snow. Including today. And I'm to the point where I actually want to go back to class!
Hope you had a great day!

My 5 year old wore rain boots out in the snow also. Only my 10 year had snow boots but that is because she went to Snow Mountain in January. Hope you guys are enjoying living in GA.

Oh my, snort laughing at the carrot placement!!
GLad it was such a nice snow - I'm in MN, we have ugly, 6 month long snow here, leaving us with mushy grounds.

Oh my goodness, the carrot incident - thanks so much for the giggle. We haven't had enough snow this year to shovel let alone make a frosty and we live just outside Toronto in the Great White North! Love your stories :)

I wish our snow disappeared as fast as yours. The carrot would have been a hoot! ;) March's kit looks gorgeous as always. Pretty sure I'm going for both add-ons. That Lizzy ribbon is beautiful!!

oh your so lucky you got a "taste" of snow! We don't even get so much as a tenny flake in winter.. I could drive over an hour away and see a bit of snow, I keep meaning to every year.
And those sneaks are delicious! Just love the bright happy colours :)

Oops I meant teeny not "tenny" lol!!!

Absolutely gorgeous layouts! I wouldn't have thought to thread the ribbon through the butterflies! Love the post! Poor Frosty and his carrot! I can just imagine you and J laughing until you cried! LOL!

What no picture of the Frosty 'incident'!? haha We never had snow boots as kids.....we only got snow periodically so it wasn't worth the investment. We used rain boots too, with LOTs of socks. I just recently told my children(after an unexpected snow in West Tennessee) about my snow days as a kid, there were times we actually put plastic bags over our sneakers and used huge rubber bands to keep them on! Now THAT was a fashion statement!!! Of course my girls were mortified as the mental picture formed in their minds!!!

Loved the pictures and the sneak peaks. I'm I NY and it's snowing here today. It looks pretty outside but I wish it would melt as quickly as it did in GA!
