** i say both "safe" place to fall and "soft" place to fall. didn't have enough "t's" to make soft as the title, so i went with safe. not sure if it's a messup, but i don't mind if it is! scrapbooking is my fun time, my hobby. i try not to get stressed over mistakes.
see that rip at the bottom of the flower? left it there! honestly, it doesn't matter.
the journaling is a bit hard to see b/c it is layered under the tulle and didn't photograph right. it looks so soft and pretty in person.
it says:
he may have to be tough at work...but make no mistake about it, he's a sucker for you and sadie. no matter how old you are he will, without fail, be your safe place to fall. your protector and your greatest champion. i can promise you this. he loves you so much, i see it every time he looks at you. 2/2010
everything on this layout is by
jenni bowlin studio
except for the alphas which are american crafts (peach) and k and company (small black alphas)
i hung the buttons on plain old twine, i got it out of jimmy's hardware box and separated it into strands.
the pages has six layers. it starts with the cardstock, then the patterned paper base, then tulle, then patterned paper, rubon, photo, journaling, and some pearl flowers , then tulle, then the title work and hanging buttons.
for the tulle i used cream tulle circles from the wedding section of hobby lobby. i adhered them using a combination of spray adhesive and glue dots.
i want to quickly say what a pleasure it is to "work" for jenni bowlin. it's really a dream come true, and each time i get to create with her lines, it makes my heart happy.
today i had 2 1/2 hours to myself while the girls were off at school/tot town.
i love this photo. treasure it, really...and wanted to do it justice.
i allowed myself to just play, create, and make what felt FUN to me. i spent way more than 30 minutes on a layout and it was truly fun. and messy. and therapeutic!
no dishes, no vacuuming, no laundry. just fun.
i was a happier mommy when i picked the girls up.
okay, that's it for today. hope you are having a beautiful, blessed thursday!
xoxo

Very Beautiful! Truly stunning!
After you do a layout like this, what do you do with it? Do you put it in a shadow box or scrap box?
I don't scrapbook much, so just wondering.
