a new idea (sorry about double post- read this one ;)

So I think that weekly or every few weeks I am going to do a post where I share my favorite iPhone photos, and also facebook status updates.

I have GOT to start using my facebook updates for scrapbooking topics. Seriously. Usually I forget all about funny things that have happened and FB is the perfect way to remember them.

Before I share, I want to share this awesome Facebook app I found. It allows you to save all of your updates (all the way back for a few years) as a text document on your computer. Awesome, huh?? See it here.

I think scrapbooking these is a great idea, and yet I've never done it. Here are some of the gems as of late:

*Bad romance by lady gaga comes on. H is singing along and says "why doesn't she wanna be friends? I bet it's because she doesn't like sharing. That's tacky and rude. ". Haaaaaaaaa hahaha

*oh my. the girls and i are doing a little spring cleaning. sadie just came out of my room and said "MMMMM! COPPEEE!!!!" and had a coffee stain on the front of her shirt. and coffee breath. she drank the dregs of my coffee from this morning. seriously?

*whoever said "don't cry over spilled milk" is full of *&@#. sadie just spilled so much milk on the floor in the breakfast nook. it went everywhere. in every single nook. and cranny. there was no possible way to get it all.gross. smell of sour milk to come. she might not be crying, but i am.

*i never ever tire of harper telling me she has a "toe wedgie".

*clearly the first thing in store for me today was standing by the window in my pink robe drinking coffee. then hearing the cadence of what sounded like hundreds of soldiers running by my house in the dark. hope they enjoyed their peep show. gah.

*quote of the day...harper says to jimmy "I just found ANOTHER cork!!! i keep finding them EVERYWHERE! like sadie's binkies!!!". jimmy- "uhhh, you are going to have to talk to your mother about that one!".

*sadie now calls me "cookie".?????? "i love you sadie!" " i yaya, COOKIE!" "it's bedtime, sadie" "okay, COOKIE!!" what the heck is that all about?

* sadie just ran in here wearing a kate gosselin wig.i swear i almost peed my pants.i'm still laughing so hard...tears streaming down my face.

* I just told harper to make sure she quote: ""doesn't poke her eye out"". what has become of me??????? 

* Us: Harper what do you want to be when you grow up?? Harper: A clown. Oh, a doctor. Jimmy: A doctor that operates on clowns only? Me: or do you mean a doctor that dresses like a clown? Jimmy: oh, that's even better." 

HAAA! oh, i've got to record these for posterity.

Your girls say the CUTEST things... it's such a great age! I've been going back to create pages from pictures of when my boys were your girls' age. I obviously didn't have fb or twitter back then (my guys are 7 and 9 now!), but I did keep a journal on the computer, and I have lots and lots of great quotes from them to use. :)

How adorable! I love FB for the reason of being able to remember fun things! I try to keep a notebook of the things my kids say but sometimes I forget to write them down. I know it will be fun to look back on in years to come!

Good for you for recording all those gems. I decided to do one LO a month for my yearly album using Iphone photos. Mine tend to look like real crap though, yours are much better. I need some iphone apps suggestions. I have been taking lots more photos with the phone though so that is a start.

OMG -- I've been reading your blog for a while but first time commenting. I have two boys aged 10 and 5 and when my youngest was about 2 he went through a long phase of calling me "cookie". It was the most adorable thing, and it got extended to other family members too. Now we all use it as a term of endearment.

that cork status was one of my very favorites. made me laugh really hard! :) i tried that app but it didn't work for me :( funny though, i just recently went through my fb and copy & pasted into a word document all my "dear so and so/love, sarah" posts. thought that'd make a fun minibook :)

oh, and those trees are gorgeous! what are they? we don't have moss growing down trees like that here. that i've seen anyway! too cool.
