hey y'all!
no scrappy sunday today...i have to devote all of my creative energy to some projects i'll be working on this coming week. but i promise i'll have lots to share soon!
plus my mama comes tomorrow for a week. so excited, but lots of preparation=no scrappy time.
i have a few (random) things to share today.
Liberty of London is at Target today. YAY!!! I was there at opening *nerd alert* and scooped up some dresses for the girl, a tankini for me, and these pillows for the couch:
i also found some CUTE new (and crazy affordable to boot) tops at Charlotte Russe.
Yes, it's a juniors shop (hence the reason i did NOT try on anything for the bottom half of my body. HA!)
but these three tops were in the 10-15 dollar range!! so i don't care if they were made for someone half my age. heheheh.
not bad, huh?
harper had her first soccer game this weekend. bless her sweet little heart...i think it was a tad overwhelming.
at first she was super excited AND 'ashion- see those pink socks?? ;)
then when the game started she got a little concerned and bewildered:
and then she had a wee breakdown.
oh my. my heart? was hurting.
apparently i was the same way. my mom once came to pick me up from swim lessons to find me hiding under a towel asleep. she says i just didn't want to "get my face wet". hahahahhahah.
but after a pep talk from daddy:
she was ready to go. ROCK STAR!
here's to hoping that next week is a little less scary. :)
so proud of my girl for toughing it out!!
before i go, i want to remind you that the studio calico april sneaks are up.
go check them out! and while you are there, take a look at the pink slip stamps (the ones that are about to be discontinued):
and one LAST thing, there's a big giveaway on the SC blog:
okay. i know that's a lot to cram into a post, but i had a lot to share!
see you soon!
xoxo
Awesome! I bought that same pillow from Target Liberty of London too. I have this sort of peacock theme I'm trying in the living room so it worked well. I will miss your weekly scrappy inspiration, but looking forward to next week. Harper looks adorable, pep talks from Daddy are so important huh?
Have fun with your Mom!

Aw, way to go Harper!! It is a little scary for them to be out there with everyone watching - too much pressure I think. =) She rocked it though!!
BTW, I saw some Liberty of London stationary stuff at Target this morning. Have you seen that?

Oh no, your such an enabler!! I love the Liberty London stuff!! And I would so buy those shirts if I had a Charlotte Russe near me, and I'm much older than you!! Don't worry H will probably really like soccer soon. It is a lot to digest at once.

Oh new clothes...I am holding out right now since I need to drop a few pounds but what you have is just lovely. Ahh summer...flip flops, capri's and the beach! I love the pics of your sweet daughter. We are uber excited that Lily will be 3 in July and old enough for the 3 year old soccer sign ups in Sept. Hubby says if she's not a soccer star there's always tennis! Have a fantastically crafty week :)

Bless her little heart! But oh so glad that she didn't give up and had fun anyways. Such an important lesson in life. What a girl!!!

Those shirts are so cool!!! Hm..we don't have any stores like that here, so I'm thinbking about making such flowers myself and sewing them on plain shirts...have to see, have to see....

I feel so betrayed and left out seeing that the new line at Target was out yesterday and not today like the commercial said :( I am hoping to get the chair and some dishes. But there's stationery too? Oh no.

I scored some liberty for my little one (2 skirts, 2 t-shirts, a tankini and a cover up) and 2 tops for me!
Posted by: Leah | 03/15/2010 at 02:22 PM
Ummmm...the first shirt?
Bought it in grey on Saturday.
But I'm concerned because if you're afraid they're too young for you, what does it say about me??!
; )
I bought the Liberty black dinner plates and both the pink & the yellow/black salad plates. Oy.
Go Harper! You looked VERY cute out there!
xoxo.

AWWWW!! how sweet is she?!! My daughters are 16 and 14 and they are both allstar/competitive cheerleaders and even at their age I wonder how they can get up in front of a few hundred people and perform. I just couldnt do it. but....maybe because they started at 4/5 years old also so they are used to it?? who knows...but good for her toughing it out...she looks adorable pink socks and all!

LOL...that pouty face just cracked me up and boy does it bring back memories. We have four girls, of which, the oldest three play soccer. Our six year old was just worried about wearing the pinny and watching the other kids run. Gotto love them!

Oh my. I've never seen Liberty of London, but I think I NEED some of that stuff! GAH! Man, I wish I had time today before work. Ah well. Tomorrow it will be! :D Your new clothes are cute!
LOVE your sneaks. Can't wait to see the rest!
And I'm glad Harper got through! Did she say what made her cry? Was she just overwhelmed? Scared she was going to get knocked over? Poor thing! Bless her heart. :-) I love the last photo of her running. And those shorts! Oh, those make me giggle every time I see her in them! LOL.
I can't get those Liberty of London images out of my head. I may or may not head to the little girls' section and try on some of those clothes... ;-)
