1.My sweet biggest is letting me take LOTS of pictures of her lately.
She's such an awesome juxtaposition of girly:
and not quite so girly. even though she did want to wear pearls and princess shoes to her team photos last night:
2. Notice the littlest is nowhere to be seen?
That's because she's a blur. Invisible to the naked eye.
Always going, running, doing. Never stopping.
I wish i had a tenth of her energy:
3. I'll be teaching a class at the Scrapbook Shoppe in Columbus on May 22. I'll be using Hello Sunshine products from Lily Bee. Also thickers, border punches, and some other fun products.
Please consider coming if you are in the Columbus/Atlanta/Alabama area! The shop phone is 706-321-0202 if you'd like to reserve a spot. I'm teaching two one page layouts and will have samples up soon!!!
class cost is 25 dollars and you must pay ahead. i SO hope so see some of you there!
4. Remember a few months ago I talked about doing a challenge a week? One that y'all came up with? Well, being Scatterbrain McGee over here, I completely forgot about it, but I decided last night that every now and then I'm going to pick a challenge from y'all's comments, and use it for Scrappy Sunday.
It can be a challenge for topic, supplies, design...anything. So if you'd like to share an idea for this sunday, leave a comment here.
You don't have to contribute, if you want to leave a comment without a suggestion, that's totally cool.
I just know I have the best readers out there, and thought some of you might like this idea!!
5. Sic 'em Lady Bears!!!! FINAL FOUR!!!! still mourning over the men (but so proud).
so BEYOND proud of my alma mater this season.
that's about it. happy wednesday!
xoxo

Oh, I'm totally digging those boots and tutu! So darn cute! Great pictures!

Here's to little girls who are sometimes girly and sometimes sporty. :-) My suggestion for a challenge (or a portion of a challenge, since it isn't very challenging on its own) is something using a gingham pattern. I just got new paper and ribbon and I'm awful about making that first cut into new stuff! I figure a challenge would help me do it. :-)

Cute pictures!
And, yay Bears! I'm so, so hoping they beat UConn and play in the title game. It would be really cool if it was an all Big 12 championship game with the Bears playing my beloved Sooners!

How about a challenge to use an old and recent photo of yourself and journal about it...sort of like your "12" post...

Great plan to do the challenges (I have no ideas though). Great pictures too. I love it because my daughter is the same age and can totally relate to everything you write about her. I need those boots for her actually....I know I saw them somewhere online but now cannot find them!!! I have to have them!! I would love to know where you found them?

you know i'd be at your class in a second if it wasn't so darn far away! have fun teaching!
and harper...in braids?! oh my gosh. how adorable! when i use to babysit/nanny i'd always braid the girls hair like that - we called it braidylocks. i can't remember what girl came up with it, but it stuck and they always asked for braidylocks :)
happy wednesday to you as well!
xx.

oops i forgot to put my scrappy challenge idea :) I love how you do posts comparing "this year, last year" photos of the girls, you, or you and j, etc. Maybe a layout comparing now and a year ago????????
Posted by: Jenni Hufford | 03/31/2010 at 01:21 PM
How about a two-page layout...using 10 or more photos? I'm always on the lookout for those ones, since that's how I usually scrap. Would love to see your take on it.
And oh my gosh how adorable is Harper. So. Precious. LOVE the tutu and cowgirl boots!

I love the pics of H. Has she always been good at allowing you to photo her? My 18 mth old wants nothing to do with smiling for me. I usually get pictures of the back of her head. :)
For a challenge I'd love to see what you did/can do with ultrasound pictures? I have so many from all of my appointments and want to do something special with them, but am totally scared to stick them down any place.

Love the photos of the girls...they're absolutely adorable!
I'd love to come to your class at the Scrapbook Shoppe! I hope we're not going out of town that weekend!

Hi! Tell me about the 3rd photo of your daughter...details, please lol...it's an incredible shot!
I was thinking about the little words of wisdom my mom gave to me when I was little and I want to make a page about them, maybe you would too? When we were little and we forgot what we were doing or saying, she would tell us to walk backwards and it would come back to us-trusting my mother beyond words, I must've walked backwards 10 times a week! Those kind of things my mom taught, not the obvious things but those little bits we often forget. I can't wait to see what you decide to do and can't wait to play along! Happy Thursday! XOXO

Cathy did this hybrid page a few days ago (the one she's super excited about.) I would love to see your take on it. Honestly, it was the first thing I thought of when I saw it on her site. And then you asked for challenges -- perfect! :)
Posted by: pidgen | 04/01/2010 at 08:46 AM
i thought of a challenge, but it's more of a photography challenge! Maybe more "everyday" photos, like of them painting, playing with toys, reading, eating lunch, etc. All the fun things you guys do at home! And then scrap a layout of a "typical day" at the Howell household. that would be WAY cute! tara
