and a lot of heart...
life is oh so very fun.
something my mom taught in me at an early age, and now i'm teaching the girls the same.
you don't need a TV, gaming system, cell phone, computer, DVD player, GameBoy to cope.
to have a good time.
no being bored. moping. complaining. expecting to be entertained every single second of every single day.
what you do need is an imaginative, creative spirit. a happy heart.
oh, and crepe paper, twinkle lights, glitter, tutus, and feathers never hurt.
thanks, BB for teaching the girls what you taught me. and for instilling in me a creative spirit.
i look forward to strengthening these gifts in my sweet girls.
have a beautiful thursday!

I totally agree and my mom was the same way. We were never bored and always transformed the house into something magical!! It looks like Harper has a cape around her neck - etsy has some very cute super hero girly capes!!! My dd has one and she wears it all the time!! Just sayin. ;) hehehe

How sweet! I have two boys, so no tutus in my future...
Thanks for your blog. Every post just makes me smile!

what a great little performance! i remember being told by my parents, "if you're bored, i'll find something for you to do" -- that was enough of a threat to be not bored quickly, since their "something to do" didn't involve tutus and feathers but something *really* boring like picking up sweetgum balls in the backyard.
this also reminds me of writing and putting on a play with my cousins one summer -- still one of our favorite memories! your girls are very lucky.

Beautiful pictures and what wonderful gifts your mom gave to you and you are giving to your children. I guarantee your girlies will pass this onto their children and will have just as many treasured memories of you with them as you have about your mom. XOXO

I 100% agree!
Even though my girls do have a wii, computer,
ds lites etc. they often go days without playing
any of them. and we limit the time. and because of it, my girls are extremely creative & imaginative.
keep it up!
love the pix!

Creative spirit, happy heart. That is a perfect title...would you be ok with me using it for such. I love when words strike me as a perfect title or mantra for that matter. lol
