oh summer??

i'm sorry but it has to be said. i'm over you.

it's too hot. and humid. and sticky. and don't you know i'm pregnant??
everyone knows pregnant ladies don't like the heat.

i'm so ready for fall.

for cool breezes and falling leaves and pumpkins.

and for my husband coming home.

for long sleeve shirts and jeans,

being able to be outside for longer than 30 seconds without feeling like i'm going TO FAINT

now if i could spend my summer this way?

 

i might feel differently.

but there's no way i'm fitting in there with my girls. no way. the neighbors do NOT need to see that.

moving right along...

almost 21 weeks

 

 

feeling so much better. so much more energy,

craving limeade and chicken burritos.

i digress...

wearing sundresses or shorts every day, b/c it's too dang HOT for anything else

watching "i didn't know i was pregnant" obsessively (sidenote: are you KIDDING ME??)

wanting to name these baby girls...if you talk to jimmy can you PLEASE tell him

TO JUST GIVE INTO THE DANG NAMES I WANT ALREADY??
GEEEEEESH.

Gosh, you look GORGEOUS! (I read in a pregnancy book recently that pregnant women hate hearing that... pfft, but i don't care. I'm gonna tell you! LOL.) And I'm so sorry it's so hot. The heat IS almost over! WOO! Well, okay... maybe one month more? Or two? Hey, at least July is usually the hottest month, so it could get better from here! :-D

I completely agree that summer+heat+pregnancy= the pits!! I am just a few weeks ahead of you, also third pregnancy and I am dying from all this heat! My boys want (and need!)to play outside all the time and I can barely make it over 10 minutes before I am ready to give up!

You do look wonderful and I am so happy for you and your family! Everytime I think of you or your family, I pray for Jimmy's safety and your comfort.

I haven't tried the limeade, but I love their lemonade. Get a little bit of a bigger kiddie pool and then get right in there with them. I do and I'm not pregnant. I think your neighbors would totally get it more with you being pregnant! :-)

My husband and I decided on a name for our second daughter while he was deployed...we spent many days on webcam and baby name websites and he shot down all of my favorites and I in returned told him no way on his choices as well! It took us a bit before we could finally agree but now we have an Aubrey and Lorelei, both names chosen by him but approved by me!

Go ahead and get in that paddling pool! My cousin turns 12 this week and my Aunt spent her last few weeks of pregnancy in the paddling pool staying cool!

When we have kids I am trying to bargain on girls names, as my partner is fixed on a boys name, surely I'm allowed the girls name, right? My parents did it that way and they had 2 girls :)

We don't have that limeade over here, but Marks and Spencer do a delicious lime cooler which I think I may be addicted to!

I had all 3 of my boys in warm weather, and I had to go to the pool every single day to keep the swelling of my feet down. "Nice hooves, Honey", my husband used to say!!

When I was pregnant with Lily I went through a carton of orange juice every two days. A big one. I would gulp it down standing by the sink. I think if I had known about Limeade it would have been worse!

I think if you get up to Target... get one of those shaved ice machines... freeze the limeade into ice cube trays... and add them to the shave ice machine... and voila... frozen limeade... so yummy!!!
