where do i begin.
a. she thought i said "panties" instead of peonies? um, awwwkward. please note what J says after she says panties.
b. TENDER?????
c. what in the Jose was Sadie doing with a binkie?
d. yes, she thinks that headbands are called "hus-bands". i never correct her when she says words wrong, one day she will say everything right and i will miss these days!
e.i think she is the coolest kid in the universe for saying that "sugarettes" are not a cool cessory.
f. sorry this is so loooong. girl is a bit of a scatterbrain. HEE!
and also- here's a little video bonus.
the vocal stylings of the howell sisters, who are LOVING bruno mars these days.
please note that i have convinced them it's "fun" instead of "dumb" and "dancing SHOES" instead of "dancing juice".
have a beautiful st.patrick's day!!
xoxo

LOL!!!! Oh my that was funny!! I so agree Harper sugarettes are nasty and not ashion :-)
Posted by: sheila hardie | 03/17/2011 at 09:11 AM
Harper is the CUTEST. And she absolutely right, sugarettes are not 'ashion & neither is over-accessorising. What a wise 'ashion tip ;)
Posted by: Mel | 03/17/2011 at 09:21 AM
I will be watching her; she has a bright career in broadcasting I think...
My favorite lines: Harper: Bows are always good arent't they?" and J. "I Love Tender cessories."
Posted by: Sherry G | 03/17/2011 at 09:34 AM
OH MY! This is the best. She reminds me so much of my daughter. I think I need to video mine more often doing things like this. She put on a show once about all things horses. This is so great. You two are so sweet with them (and it shows!). Such cute kids.

Thank-you for brightening my morning down here in NZ with your beautiful 'ashion presenter! Hard to eat my breakfast when I'm laughing so much about the "panties" flower. Glad she cleared up what "sugarettes" are - I was confused for a moment there. I'm off to see if I have a tiara in my house 'cos I think my look needs more accessories!
Posted by: Becs Attwood | 03/17/2011 at 12:20 PM
I laughed so hard at Harpers faces and her comments. She's definitely a keeper!! I can't get over how much alike her and my daugther are. Girls are so much fun!

Posted by: Kasey | 03/17/2011 at 04:20 PM
My heart skipped a beat when I saw you had posted a new video, I've watched the last one twice! The panties comment made me cry with laughter. I've had a horrible day and Harper's 'ashion show madxe it a dair bit brighter. Thanks for sharing your beautiful girls with us! You must be so proud!
Rachel x
p.s. I think the main reason I enjoyed it so much is that it reminds me of a video my parents bring out on an annual basis to toally embarass me of me aged about 10 doing a dance routine for my whole family, cringe!!!!
Posted by: Rachel | 03/17/2011 at 04:37 PM
oh i love this! I So wish Harper and Layla lived close so they could be friends.
Posted by: kate | 03/17/2011 at 05:17 PM

Love it!! She's so stinkin' cute Stephanie. Can't wait to hear all about shoes next week!
Posted by: Stacy D | 03/17/2011 at 07:22 PM
Steph, you are so lucky. My kids were listening to Bruno Mars on the radio and are convinced it was "Dancing Jews"! SERIOUSLY had to monitor THAT out! They wouldn't believe me until I found the real words on line and printed them out for them, but juice was the lesser evil to sing by that point!
Your little announcer is hysterical, my girls love watching your girls on video. They ask about Sadie and Harper all the time now!
Posted by: michelle | 03/17/2011 at 07:30 PM
I hope the producers of "What Not to Wear" are watching this! She's so good at 'ashion advice. Can't wait for "SHOES!"
blessings,

Hi there Stephanie, this is the first time I have commented here - I love your blog, but I thought you would like to know that as I watching this 'ashion show masterpiece my four year old daughter was very keen to know who Harper is, what her mummy's name is and where you live. It would seem that Harper has a fan all the way here in Australia and now I am fielding questions as why we can't get together for a playdate! There is major 'hus-band' envy ;-)
Posted by: Amy | 03/17/2011 at 08:02 PM
so cute, love all her "Hus-bands" and agrred "sugarettes" are definitely not 'ashion.
Posted by: Deb | 03/17/2011 at 09:01 PM
she is so cute!! :)
Posted by: Jennifer | 03/17/2011 at 09:11 PM
1. I'm going out an getting a wand since they go with everything. :)
2. I saw black shift dresses at Kohls and immediatley thought "they aren't really 'ashion".
3. Never knew that was a Bruno Mars song. Heard it on Glee, didn't know where it was from.
4. Does Harper have any tips on scarves? :)
Posted by: Jennifer Sanborn | 03/17/2011 at 09:25 PM
They are so very cute! Harper's 'ashion videos are hysterical! Where do you get all of those cute headbands with the bows?
Posted by: Lindsay | 03/17/2011 at 09:26 PM
I can't say thank you enough for sharing your family with all of us. My niece Stephanie is a lot like Harper in front of the camera. She is going to be 6 on Saturday (19th) and I cannot wait to show her the videos of Harper's 'Ashion Show when I go to visit her. She is going to absolutely love it!!! So looking forward to her next video about shoes. Hope you have a terrific weekend. God Bless you and your beautiful family!!!

Posted by: Kris | 03/17/2011 at 10:42 PM
OMG I am loving video Thursdays. I laughed so hard at J's tender accessories comment that I woke my son up from nap.

I HAD to comment tonight.. I tend to read my blogs when Im laying in bed, well tonight my husband is beside me going to sleep and I asked politely if I could go to watch the video since he was trying to sleep but he could watch to since I have shared many a time your blog and its hilarity. He said he didn't mind if I watched because he was going to sleep, as soon as we hit the 'peonies' part we were both laughing and he had rolled over to watch also. I love reading your blog!
Posted by: Taylor | 03/17/2011 at 11:53 PM
Harper....Thanks so much for the great ashion advice. You remind me of my little big girl. Of course she's really old now 20 lol.
and Steph love the videos, I have tons from when Alexa was that age. I loved the miss pronounced words too. My favorite was test-nit can you guess what that means? Tetnis we used to tell her if she did'nt do something she'd have to get a tetnis shot....for the life of me I can't remmeber what it was we used to threaten her with tho. And don't worry about Sadie and the binkie, I won't tell you how long my girl had one till. And her teeth are perfect, never even needed braces. Plus she had the bottle longer too. Used to fall asleep with it in her mouth. And she never even had any cavities until she was 13. Who cares what people say, sometimes it's just easier to let her have it. What's the worst that can happen?

Posted by: Pam S. | 03/18/2011 at 07:14 AM
Oh, the mis-pronounced words are so precious! I love it! I'm so glad you have these videos for later in her life! What a TREASURE! What really gets me about this video series is that Steph -- your voice sounds EXACTLY like my son's godmother's voice. It is uncanny! It's like having Katherine talking to me about 'ashion. Crazy! And I snort when I laugh too! I loved hearing the babies in the background! So much fun! I'm visiting my niece this weekend (she'll be 4 in August) .... I'll be sure to bring her a new tiara and wand (for both of us, of course). Thanks for the JOY -- my face hurts from smiling so much!
