thanks so much for your input re: whether you would want me to teach a class, what you would like to see, etc. i really appreciate it! if you want to contribute, but haven't...please leave a comment on yesterday's post!
today's 'ashion video=a hot mess.
h decided that she didn't want to talk about shoes b/c it was "lame-o". so she just asked me to tape her doing totally RANDOM stuff instead.
we taped it this morning, hence her puffy eyes and my more-mannish-than-usual voice.
sadie runs in at the end, but i had to cut it off b/c she had no pants on. HA!
you are going to have to turn up the volume b/c she's a bit mumble-y, especially when she talks about audrey hepburn and black. :)
miss harper has SO much fun making these videos and wants to do one next week, but she's run out of ideas. i thought maybe y'all could leave her "fashion questions" and she could do a Q&A...i want her to be able to keep making these b/c i swear they are the highlight of her week. HA! i'd love to surprise her with questions! :)
okay, here you go...enjoy the randomness.

Hi Harper....I REALLY enjoy your 'ashion videos, so I hope you keep doing them. I have a question, are sweat pants 'ashion? I love to wear them, is there something I can do to dress them up? Thank you for advice.
Posted by: Joanne | 03/24/2011 at 08:41 AM
So cute, I had a hard time hearing her though. Oh and I have a great idea for a fashion video next week.............. my 4 year old daughter loves having me do her hair in different styles, but I feel like I am always doing the same old thing. Harper - what hair styles do you like best?
Posted by: Kami Pfingsten | 03/24/2011 at 08:46 AM
Please don't stop doing the weekly Harper shows, I love them :) I'm glad that Audrey changed her mind about the black issue or else I would totally not be 'ashion! Okay, fashion questions for Miss Harper:
1) who is the most 'ashion person/people on tv right now?
2) what colour is better: pink or purple?
3) what kind of 'ashion hairstyles are good?
Posted by: Mel | 03/24/2011 at 08:46 AM
Hee! I love watching these videos Steph! Okay here's my question for Harper ... since I only have boys at home do you have any 'ashion advice for them? Darian is 6.5 and Brandon is almost 5. What do you think looks is in 'ashion for boys their age? ;)
Posted by: Lynn Ghahary | 03/24/2011 at 08:51 AM
Harper's 'Ashion shows are the highlight of my Thursdays! Please don't stop them......
The shopping idea is greatness.
You could show her two pictures of celebrities and ask Harper which person is the most 'ashion & why. I can only imagine what her responses would be like. LOL!
PS - Her "unst, unst, unst catwalk" was super impressive!!
Posted by: ashley | 03/24/2011 at 08:56 AM
Hi Harper, loved your video! Do you have any 'ashion advice for moms? My kids say my clothes are boring. Do you have any suggestions to make a mom look a little more exciting?
Oh, and what 'ashion advice to you have for your little sisters? Thanks, you're awesome!
Posted by: Diane Knott | 03/24/2011 at 09:00 AM
Haha, her music for her cat walk cracks me up! :)I'm glad you had her read about Audrey Hepburn. She's my fave too!
Ok, a question for Harper. With spring here and summer coming quickly, do you have any 'ashion tips for summer clothes? Are shorts 'ashion? What should I wear them with?
Posted by: Liz | 03/24/2011 at 09:06 AM
look at my flower! lol

Hi Harper! I have a new niece or nephew on the way and I want them to be very 'ashion. What should I buy for the baby shower so the baby can come home from the hospital being very 'ashion? Thanks for all your advise.
Posted by: April | 03/24/2011 at 09:10 AM
Harper, I so appreciate your 'ashion advice! You are such a cool little girl! I was wondering: I have an older sister who gives me her clothes when she growa out of them. Do you give your clothes to Sadie when you are done with them? Also, do you and your sister ever dress the same? Do you have different 'ashion styles?
Posted by: Michelle (from KY) | 03/24/2011 at 09:11 AM

my "ashion question is : shorts or dresses for summer?? thanks harpur!! :)

HI Harper! We love you 'ashion videos - please don't stop! Our 'ashion question is about bathing suits. What is 'ashion to wear at the beach or pool? Are cover ups cool?
Posted by: allison | 03/24/2011 at 09:31 AM
We are headed into Spring (hopefully) here in new York. Does harper have any 'ashion advice about jackets and sweaters? Love the videos. Hope you keep them coming!
Posted by: Linda E | 03/24/2011 at 09:49 AM
makeovers! harper could put together outfits for you or the other girls! that would be adorable.
Posted by: Molly | 03/24/2011 at 09:53 AM
Love these videos so much!
Posted by: Tracy | 03/24/2011 at 09:55 AM
Miss Harper,
You always look so pulled together. Do you decide each day what to wear, or do you plan your fashion choices weekly?
I'm a mommy. How do I wear sparkly things without looking tacky?
Your advice is very much appreciated.
Thank you,
Ms. Amy

love the videos! I think a trip to the store to pick out 'ashons would be hilarious!
And a "dressed by Harper" video might be cute. Let her pick out the Howell crew's clothes and let them model them and she can tell why it's 'ashon!
Posted by: Kristyn G | 03/24/2011 at 10:17 AM
Harper I loved your newest 'ashion show! Your skinny jeans and your cowboy boots rocked! I love Audrey Hepburn also and my question to you is, what color do you think is a good choice to accessorize that little black dress with?
Posted by: Kat Layton | 03/24/2011 at 10:20 AM
Dear Harper, I love your little 'ashion shows also! YOu are really smart! I love your choice in dresses!!!
What do you think is a good outfit for a 5 year old to wear to a tea party?! what colors?
keep up the great work!

I am blocked from the video at work but I cannot wait to see Miss Harper's 'ashion advice. I have a question for her, Will boots still be in style this spring or should we switch to sandals? ;)
Posted by: Kelly | 03/24/2011 at 11:30 AM
WHAT???? My heart just stopped - how can shoes be lame-o???? Oh Harper - please say it isn't so. :)
Posted by: Dana | 03/24/2011 at 11:36 AM
I love your 'ashion segments, Harper, and hope you continue them! I'm glad you discovered Audrey Hepburn, she is DEFINITELY 'ashion. Maybe you could talk about patterns, or hairstyles, or what's 'ashion for spring and summertime. And I'd take your mom up on the shopping trip, too! :)
Posted by: Heather V | 03/24/2011 at 11:52 AM
Haha..i love the 'ashion segments!! Keep up the awesome work Harper. The accessories lessons from last week DEFINITELY helped with my weekend outfit lol- although I have to say im not as lucky as you to have a "tender husband" so i had to make do ;)
So heres my question for ya!I have to buy a bday gift this wknd for my little cousin (7 yrs old) who also is into 'ashion ...what is the best 'ashion outfit i could buy her? :) cant wait to see what you can come up with!
Posted by: Michela S. | 03/24/2011 at 11:57 AM
Oh - do a "What not to wear" with Harper giving commentary...you can go to the mall or Post office and sit in the car and tape it - how funny would that be??
Posted by: Cathy | 03/24/2011 at 12:00 PM
Harper: Is it a good idea for the mommy's to give advice on what little girls should wear or should we let you just all choose it for yourselves?
Posted by: Jill | 03/24/2011 at 12:54 PM
Hi Harper,
I live in England so wonder if fashion in America is better than fashion in England?
I also wonder if you think the Queen of England is fashionable?
Good job with the fashion advice I have found it really helpful.

Hi Harper, My daughter Annie (age 3) says that she wears a strawberry shirt with jeans...is this 'ashion? Thanks!

Hi, Harper. I have an urgent 'ashion question for you. Where can I wear my tiara? To the grocery store? The Library? I need tips on when it's appropriate to wear a tiara. Thank you.
Posted by: NancyD | 03/24/2011 at 01:24 PM
Harper,
I'm really enjoying all of the 'ashion tips! thanks for sharing. I have a question, any tips on what to wear to a beach wedding and still be 'ashion? can flip flops be 'ashion or do i need to wear sandals with heels?
Thanks for all your help.

Harper,
I love your 'ashion videos. They are the best part of my Thursday.
My question for you is are pajama pants 'ashion and is it okay for me to wear them outside the house?
Posted by: April C | 03/24/2011 at 01:50 PM
Maybe you could discuss baby fashion!
Should twins dress alike?
When Harper is a mama what will her babies wear?
PJ's outside of the house? "ashionable? or a big NO!
Harper you are the cutest thing! Thanks for sharing your fashion tips. Love your skinny jeans by the way!
Posted by: Elisa | 03/24/2011 at 02:36 PM

Hi Harper - I love your skinny jeans and your cute little cat walk. You're a rock star :) ! I definitely need help with my 'ashion during the rainy season. I want to stay warm and dry but still be 'ashionable. Thanks for you help!

Harper, socks and tights? Opinions?
Color?
Prints or solids?
Yesterday, I was so excited it was Wednesday because I was looking forward to getting to watch Thursday 'ashion tips with H! My DH says we need grands...

I love the "oonce unce oonce" catwalk move at the end. Haha. Maybe she could talk about painting fingernails.

So, so cute! Okay, here's a question for her: I'm going to a wedding next month. What should I wear and what should my daughter, who is seven, wear?
Posted by: Jenifer Higgins | 03/24/2011 at 05:06 PM
I would love to see Harper go shopping! I would like to see how she chooses which clothes she likes and what she would NOT wear.
My daughter is 5 and couldnt care less about clothes but she sure loves watching Harpers 'ashion videos and has lots of questions about her like "can we go play with her"? lol
Posted by: Jen Thompson | 03/24/2011 at 06:21 PM
Hi Harper (and all)
What is more 'ashion: tiara or hat??
Thanks
jess
(sorry if this question has already been asked - I didn't read all the comments before I thought what would be the perfect question!!)

My 8 month old daughter Charlotte loves watching Harper's Ashion Shows. She learning lots of useful tips. Charlotte is just not getting a lot of hair in so maybe you could teach us about your favorite hairstyles!
The catwalk just about did me in. I needed that smile. Thanks for sharing.

Harper, I love you 'ashion advice. Could you tell us what clothes your mom has that are really in 'ashion? I would like to see some ideas for hair or hair accessories too. You are wonderful!
Posted by: Brenda | 03/24/2011 at 07:47 PM
Harper aka Coco Chanel: What can i do to get a 4 year old to wear something other than her favorite color (bluegreen)? Her name is Madison and she's all about 'ashion.
Posted by: Lisa Martin | 03/24/2011 at 07:48 PM
OH Harper...you sweet little thing. I need some ashion help for my 15 month old son. what are some stylin' clothes that he would wear for the summertime? boys needs help too...probably a bit more than girls, don't you think?
Posted by: rhonda | 03/24/2011 at 08:45 PM
Harper - I was wondering what tips you have for accessorizing a plain black dress. I just love your fashion videos, you and your sisters are all absolutely adorable. Another idea would be to show items from your closet and how you can mix and match them together and make a variety of outfits and how you would make them 'ashion.
Posted by: Norma | 03/24/2011 at 09:00 PM
Dear Harper,
I LOVE your 'ashion videos. I hope you keep doing them. I know that boys can't really be 'ashion, but what CAN they be? I have two boys. One is almost 8, and his little brother just turned 2. What should they wear?
Thanks!
Posted by: Carrielyn | 03/24/2011 at 09:42 PM
I love the Harper 'ashion show! I would like to know what are the biggest 'ashion no-no's? Also, what is 'ashion for someone with a baby in her tummy?
Posted by: Erin B | 03/24/2011 at 09:56 PM
Hi there Miss H....I am soooo lovin' your 'ashion updates every week! I was wondering if you may be able to help me with my very own 'ashion dilema. Do YOU feel that it is necessary for a womans handbag to match her shoes or should the two only coordinate? I seriously need some guidance with this matter and would greatly appreciate your input :)
Thanks...Misty from Mississippi
Posted by: Misty | 03/24/2011 at 10:23 PM
you are such a fun mom. she is going to love these when she gets older...look at my skinny jeans! :)
Posted by: Tenika | 03/24/2011 at 11:36 PM
oh my goodness so cute! I wanna do this with my daughter!
Harper, my daughter Isabella thinks that twirly dresses are the best too. If they don't "do spins" (flair out when you twirl around), then they don't get worn.
Here are my questions:
Which is better for your 'husbands" (hairbands): flowers, sequins or bows?
What's your mum's most "ashion" outfit? (I think we need her to video you in it!) and finally;
what makes good 'ashion for babies? (I have a 1 year old and would love some advice :))
Love love love. can't wait for next week!
Hope you had fun with the kites Harper!

Dearest Miss Harper,
Hello! I love your 'ashion videos! I have a one year old grandduaghter whom I love doing photoshoots with, using props such as boa's, sunglasses, fairies wings, and hairbands. My question is: is there any trick I can do that will ensure that she leaves these things on long enough for me to snap her picture? I love all the accessories but she is so full of action now that she's walking and the minute I try putting a hairband in her hair, her little hand is pulling it over her eyes!
Thanks for your help sweetie!
xoxo
Ms Lisa :)

I wonder how Harper learns about 'ashion (besides books about Audrey Hepburn.) Is Mommy her fashion icon? Or does she just know what she likes?
Posted by: Laura | 03/25/2011 at 07:25 AM
I too love the Thursday 'Ashion Segments with Harper.
Harper, my question is about hus-bands. Can grown-ups wear hus-bands? Or do they look silly and should only be for girls?
Posted by: Christi | 03/25/2011 at 10:06 AM
Harper you are so adorable. Loving your catwalk & matching music. So glam!
OK here is my question for you Harper:
Make-up what colors are in and what are the big No’s?
And I totally love the idea listed by Cathy entry #24 “What not to wear” segment and then send it to Stacy & Clinton. I can really see a ‘ashion show at the store… totally. Stephanie – Love that you do these videos, I wish as I child that my parents would have done the same. Your 4 little ones will cherish them in the future I am sure!

Sweet Harper, you are destined for GREAT things in life. You're going to be going to kindergarten soon - that is so exciting. Can't wait to see your next video!

Harper your ashion shows are very helpful and make me smile! I think it would be a great idea to see you talk about your shopping experience. I can always use some tips!! Have a great day!

I've been letting my 4 year old watch Harper's videos. She's now narrating her own video (there's no one filming her!) and telling her "audience" what's 'ashion about each of her dress up clothes. And yes, she's saying "'ashion" just like Harper. So funny!
Posted by: Leah | 03/25/2011 at 04:34 PM
I love the 'ashion shows. I'd love to see more about accesories, like braclets etc, maybe Harper can give an example of too many, not enough and just the right accesorizing? And please Harper shoes are so important, re think the shoes.
Posted by: Jennifer Serrano | 03/25/2011 at 04:44 PM
My five year old Delaney says Harper, you have the best show ever you are funny and cute and your sisters are so cute. Maybe you can style Sadie for your next show!
Posted by: Nicole Russell Willis | 03/25/2011 at 05:30 PM
Hi Harper! I showed your video to my mom and she LOVED it. She would like to know what you think is 'ashion for a grandma to wear. She likes to wear black pants and a shirt but wants to know if that's 'ashion.
Posted by: April & Grandma | 03/25/2011 at 05:40 PM
She totally ROCKED that catwalk!!!!
Posted by: Alissa | 03/25/2011 at 07:57 PM
Harper, my mom and I love watching your 'ashion shows! They are a highlight to our week! We think a show about hairstyles is a great idea. And diamonds too.

Harper, I LOVE your 'ashion show! I have two questions for you. 1) Are scarves fashionable? Not the heavy ones for winter, but light flowy ones. 2)What do you think about sisters wearing matching outfits?
Can't wait to see your show next week!!! Good job!
Posted by: Holly | 03/26/2011 at 10:11 AM
Harper-
I love your ashion shows. I was wondering how you feel about purses/pocketbooks. Are they fashion? Do you need to match your bag with your clothes? Are big bags ashion? What kind of accessories do you like best. I know how much you enjoy pretty flowers. Keep giving us your great advice!
Posted by: Kristen | 03/26/2011 at 05:39 PM
Dear Harper, I love your 'ashion advice! I'm so glad that you decided that black is 'ashionable! What do you think about sweat pants? Are they 'ashion if they have a matching jacket? Please make more videos!

Have you ever watched Uncle Buck? Harper reminds me so much of the little girl in Uncle Buck, lookswise that is. The girl, Maisy, was played by Gabby Hoffman.
What do you think? Resemblance?
