I live in San Diego. Here we see the ecstasy and happiness of the return of our Navy and Marines . We also we see the pain families go through every time they have to say goodbye. What do you say to familles whose heart is broken. All I can do is pray for their safe return and pray for the families for strength. Some of their stories are posted on our newspaper The San Diego Union here is todays: http://www.signonsandiego.com/news/2011/may/13/the-scars-from-being-born-on-a-dirt-floor/
Is it right to put our men and women in harms way to save a generation? Is it worth it? All I can do is pray for you, J, and your girls. Your family makes the most of your time with each other. I see many families that spend all year with each other that don't do that. God Bless

we do believe it is worth it. thats why my husband continues to *choose* to serve. we would not be living this life if we didnt believe it was worth it.

Steph,
You have a ridiculously adorable family. Oh, my word! Is it weird to comment on your hottie of a husband? (I am deeply in love with my hubby of 15 years, but we can appreciate eye candy every now and then.)
What a blessing the Lord has bestowed on you. Thanks for sharing.

The shapes of their mouths in the picture with the funky glasses- the three are practically identical, especially Harper and Daddy! These photos are adorable, a perfect depiction of your family's personalities; loving, quirky, fun and oh so charming. :) And Sadie, darling? Your faces light up my day... :)

Thanks so much to J for doing what he does. Without our military, we would not be able to lead the lives that we do. My dh and I fully believe in the missions right now, and we pray for our soldiers and their families. Thank you for keeping us connected.
Love all the photos!!
