so i've made some amazing changes lately. more coming on that soon. :)
but i'm thinking a hair change is in the cards. and i'm wanting to go dark auburn. something like this:
or this:
think i could pull it off? i've never been one to agonize over cutting my hair or coloring it...it's just hair and it grows back.
think i'll be brave enough to go for it? i've always wanted to try red.
and doing it when j is gone will be perfect. because if i don't like it, who cares? no one to impress. HAHA!
have a beautiful day my sweet friends. and thank you SO SO much for all of the prayers, encouragement and love you guys have sent my way. it means the world to me. ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥
xoxo

I've never been one to worry about changing my hair either...I say go for it!
Can't wait to hear about your changes. Big changes are exciting!

I am one that is not good about things to my hair. I don't like the drastic changes for me. I am pretty chicken when it comes to that sort of stuff. I know it is just hair and it will grow back, but still, I can't do it.. I need to! I need to hide the grays... more and more keep popping up.
I love the pics you found. Pretty colors. I can't wait to see what you decide to do. ;)

Natural Instincts by Clairol makes a great temporary hair color (it washes out in so many washings...45?). I use a color that resembles dark auburn in my hair and love it (I think it's cinaberry). Fun to try and not permanent (so you don't have to worry about your roots coming in a different color than your hair).

oo hot momma! red would look fabulous

hair grows and colour fades (especially red, really quick) so GO FOR IT!!

I LOVE that color. I've done it with heavy highlights throughout my hair and loved it. I've never done an all over color though. The only thing for me was when I started spending time in the sun (and maybe the pool too) it turned brassy. But my hair has some random lighter highlights throughout so it has a tendency to go lighter in the summer anyway. Give it a try--you'll never know until you try! : )

Go for it there is nothing like a new hair style or color for a pick me up!!! My thoughts are with you as you go through another deployment. Hugs to you and your four beautiful chicks and prayers for a safe return for your soldier.

DO IT! That color would look great on you!!
Posted by: Tara LeClaire | 03/15/2012 at 01:58 PM
I am never brave enough to try something different with my hair. And my husband rarely travels more than a couple days, and my hair doesn't grow that fast! It would be fun though to try and not have to worry about anyone not liking it. Of course oldest is 14 now and she would really laugh if it looked crazy. So I guess I will keep my boring, unstyled 80's hair! Have fun with your new hairstyle!

You would look absolutely fantastic! Go with the color in the first picture.

I definitely think you can pull it off!! I am going super dark brown and getting bangs on the 24th. Excited and nervous. Hopefully you will tweet some post coloring pics....

I think you would be hot business with this color/cut! You are beautiful anyways, so just go for it. The top one is about what mine is right now. :) ((HUGS))

Oooooooh, that color would look beautiful on you.....do it!
Posted by: Elizabeth | 03/15/2012 at 05:16 PM
I think you can pull off anything. Just be careful about choosing the right color. If your hair has reddish highlihts to begin with, it may come out redder than the box/sample. Cant wait to see it!
Posted by: Linda E | 03/15/2012 at 05:16 PM
I think it would look great!! Go for it!
I've always liked a little touch of red!
Posted by: Lauren Nguyen | 03/15/2012 at 05:33 PM
I totally think you should do it! I just cut six inches off my hair and i love it. Be sure you let us see the new you....i know you will look fabulous!
Posted by: Jackie | 03/15/2012 at 05:44 PM
I agree with your sentiment that it will just grow back should you not like it. However, being dark brown as you are now, I don't see how it could be bad. I think it's a good idea to go for it! Could be a great refreshing change!

Being a redhead...I say go for it! It is only hair and you should make a statement with it! I think you woulg wear it beautifully! Just go to a good hair colorist who will pick the right shade for you! Then, leap! It is liberating!

Do it!! You will look great!!
Posted by: Christina A. | 03/16/2012 at 05:20 AM
Definitely go for it! I have the same motto-it's just hair and it can always be changed back if you decide you hate it.
Posted by: Christa Paustenbaugh | 03/16/2012 at 06:17 AM
With your beautiful skin tone you could definitely pull it off. As an unnatural auburn-head myself, I use either a 4R or a 4M color. Being this is the first time, you might want to go with the 4R...it's a little lighter. The 4M is pretty dark. Either way it will be beautiful. And J would definitely love it ;)
Can't wait to see the results.

I'm always TERRIFIED to make any changes to my hair, ha! But I just made a big change and while it's taking a little while to get used to, I think I love it:) I say try it!
Posted by: [email protected] | 03/16/2012 at 10:28 AM
I think that color would look gorgeous on you! Plus, there's this about red hair color: it's the least fadeproof. So even if you HATE it, it'll be faded in 6 weeks or so anyway! :)
Posted by: AmySorensen | 03/16/2012 at 10:58 AM
go for it, with your pretty face, your hair could be any color and you'd still look good :)

Yes, yes, dark auburn is my fave too, so rich & luscious.
If you are going to do it yourself, L'orielle Castings is very good, semi-permanent, deep shine with many shades.
Just do it!!

i just cut mine off. go for it!!
Posted by: Kristen Cox | 03/16/2012 at 05:29 PM
You could rock either colour! I say "go for it"....can't wait to see your new hair and the other changes you've made!
Posted by: Leslie | 03/16/2012 at 09:03 PM
You should definitely try it, at least once! I went red last year - got lots of looks and compliments, but I didn't care for it as much and went back to brunette. Maybe I'll try again some day!
Posted by: Jessica | 03/17/2012 at 09:44 AM
you'd look really hot with red. DO IT!
