It's time for the July kit...Elmwood Park is live at Studio Calico. ;)
What I bought:
Elmwood Park
What I made:
This first layout is very special to me. Right now SC is celebrating their 5 year anniversary. And some of the members came up with challenges for the anniversary. You can see them right here.
The challenge I chose was to lift a layout you made 5 years ago.
I looked back through my very first album and found this:
I remember vividly when Harper was one. We lived in Ft. Benning and I was really getting into scrapbooking.
I made this page to tell her my hopes and dreams for her future. Looking at this page now makes me cry. She was so little. And all of the things I hoped for her then...I hope for all FOUR!!! of my girls now.
I knew this was the layout I had to lift.
I came up with this layout using
and the
New Digital Printables(the camera date card and "remember" flag)
These photos are so special to me. I have never had photos with each girl and myself. I knew right away I wanted to use them for this layout.
I love this page and I am so grateful for this challenge. Thank you Em!
You want to know something funny? The actual challenge was to "find a layout from 5 years ago and scraplift it with your current style". Um, I think I have the same style and I'm okay with that. Ha!!
Made using:
I had to do a page about throwing a party with Kerryellen. I knew right away that I wanted the cabochon flowers and buttons to mimic the paper fans in the photo. Love a bright, happy page.
Made using:
I ended up purchasing Capture the Flag because I thought it would be great for photos of Jimmy. The (sad) problem is...I realized I don't have any photos of him that haven't been scrapped.
I love this picture of Sadie in my sunglasses and ended up using this kit for a layout of her. I think that little BasicGrey tag hanging from the bow is hilarious ('you are soooooo good lookin') and you know i LOVE LOVE the ribbon in this add-on.
Hope you have a beautiful and blessed Thursday. Y'all it is almost JULY. I cannot even put into words how happy that makes me!!
xoxo

Such cute layouts! I did a baby layout just like your first one for my nephew when he was born. Our journaling was very similar too (but I of course said don't depend on girls attention to make you feel special!). He is now 10 and I look back on his baby picture and can't believe how much he has grown!

great pages Steph, love the first one, I love lots of journaling, that's the best part of a page and love that you copied a page of yours from years ago...I have to say my style has changed a lot...lol...when I started it was cutting my photos into circles with fancy scissors and using little stickers I would find at walmart, that about does it...but I wouldn't go back and change those pages because that was me at that time :) all of your pages are great, I agree, that ribbon is fab!

I love all the layouts, heart and soul in them!
when Jimmy gets home, you need to have that camera on him and capture some memories with the girls so you have some to scrapbook! LOL!

The cook thing about not having any photos of J that you haven't scrapp'd... Is.... You've scrapped a BUNCH of him! I don't think I've ever done a page of my sweetie solo. And only a few of him & me. So kuddos for scrapping him much as you do!! :). And they'll be many more to come!!! :). Love all your pages & uour style! Happy Thursday!

my absolute FAVORITE part of the party page is that it is hard to tell what is a pretty part of the party decor and what is actually a page embellishment! thanks for the inspiration!!!
