I guess this must be army advanced planning. ;-) I hope you have a wonderful year in your new 'now' home without too much worry about where you will be the following year. [My father was in the RCMP (Canada), but luckily he wasn't transferred around much - no comparison with the army. ;-) ]

Good luck in the planning! Always exciting, stressful, thrilling and frustrating at the same time! The year will go so fast and you'll be off to the next exciting adventure!

wow..it is amazing to me that you've just arrived in RI and already, you have to plan where to go next. I thought the Army did that for you! I am enjoying all the pictures you have been posting lately. The
"bigs",as you call them, are really getting big and they are so pretty! Enjoy Autumn in New England. It is beautiful!!!

Aha! Had no idea you get to plan this out as opposed to being assigned. As we were preparing to move and uproot our lives last December, I ran across this quote: "Sometimes in the winds of change, we find our direction." Also seems appropriate for you with regard to finding your new(ish) job and dropping the other committments. :)

Wow! It seems like as soon as we settle in to one place, we are already planning the possibilities for the next. It does make life exciting, and a little scary. I am scrambling to find a career path because J's coming up on possibly being able to retire in a few years. (gasp!) If I find a lucrative job, he could possibly retire and we could stay here in this wonderful dream house we just bought (address #14 for us) OR we could be leaving in a few years and moving at least 3 times within 5 years. Exciting, but scary. But I do know that prayer and strong faith in God will carry us through!
