you should have seen harper and sadie's EYES when they saw this big box of glitter!
it's beautiful.
you should have seen MY eyes when i thought about what would happen if the babies got their grubby mitts on it. HAHAHA!
i waited for naptime yesterday and we made some pretty holiday ornaments.
here's a couple of close-ups...these are just the super cheap plaster ornaments (on clearance!) from Michaels:
aren't they so pretty? and YES, it was messy. but the glitter trays helped. and also...
i don't get too worked up about stuff like that. it's just glitter. and the bigs had a BALL.
next i decided it was time for mama to have craft time. here's what i made:
don't you just love these? and i had so much FUN making them.
i have big plans to make lots more of these to adorn holiday gift boxes.

This might be a silly question, but what glue ect did you use? Do you have to push the glitter down or does it just stay? Looks like you got solid coverage.
Thx!

Not silly at ALL! I use Martha Stewart glitter glue and then I seal with Super Seal!

Everything is soooooooo loverly! (yes, spelling wrong on purpose!) I make my gift tags by using plastic see-through letters (think Heidi Swapp) that are just slightly smaller than the tag itself. (I use the same size tags that you use). I place a single letter on top of each tag (centered) and then mist with Mr. Huey in red or green. Wait to dry, then lift off the plastic letter. The result is a personalized tag (with the person's first initial) for each package. Also, have you checked out Garnish? I package treats each month for a spouse meeting (36 treats). I love to get my packaging here: http://www.thinkgarnish.com/store/shop-garnish Merry Christmas to you and yours!
