I finished this layout yesterday. And as I was adding the final touches I realized something.
It took me over a week to complete this layout.
True story. That's how I roll these days. That's why I never do any layouts. That's why I'm weeks behind on Project Life.
Good times. But that's life.
I was feeling grumpy yesterday and told J that it was because I needed to make something.
So I made the time and finished this page. Yay me!
I've had a box of gorgeousness from Gossamer Blue sitting on my desk for quite some time and it's been killing me not to put it to use.
I made this using the April Main Kit.
It's chock full of Studio Calico, Maggie Holmes for Crate Paper, and Dear Lizzy.
Oh, I added a few things from my own stash. I'll list them in the product section.
This picture of Sadie makes me laugh. This is the face she makes when she's just....over it.
It's so her. And I am so glad I snapped it.
Supplies: Gossamer Blue April main kit, from stash -->Dear Lizzy lucky charm stickers, Martha Stewart kraft tags, Maggie Holmes pin, various enamel dots by MME, doilies, Heidi Swapp edge distresser(super old and discontinued but i LOVE it)
I hope you have a wonderful Monday. See you all tomorrow with a new spotlight and giveaway!
xo
It's funny how that grumpy feeling hits when we need to create. We just have to make the most of the opportunities when we get them. such a fun page. Love it :).

So cute! We always got looks like that from our girls too! But now that the girls are 9, 13 and 15 they are so easy going. We laugh at the temper our 9 yr. old had as a toddler and how different she is now. I love how the kids always keep us entertained. Thanks for sharing your work!

Sadie is so cute & such a character. Love all the layers on your page so pretty. I just bought a package of those fabric frames I'm over the moon in love with them....
You remind me no matter how busy life is you have to take a few minutes for you time and for people like us that's playing with paper.

Love the layout! And thanks for reminding me to pull out my HS distressing tool. Nothing like knowing something is discontinued to make ou want to use it!

Gorgeous layout! Love the way you put layers together. I too loved my Heidi Swapp distresser, but alas it was stolen at a crop years ago. I say we start a campaign to get her to bring it back!

Just go with the flow, it's not worth beating yourself up about what you can/cannot manage. You seem to do a pretty huge amount as far as I can see. You really do ROCK! X

One of the things that I love about following your blog is you are so down to earth and realistic about life. No sugar coating and no leaving out the hard stuff or the not so pretty aspects. That's the way I am about life and scrapping, too! I think it's just as important to catch those moments when it's not picture perfect because it is real and it is now.
Also, I have found that I need time to just create or else I get cranky and nasty and aggravated easily. It's worth it for the floor to be dirty and the dishes to still need to be put away if I can make something meaningful that will last longer than when someone drops their juice box onto the newly washed floor. Take care of you. It's important so that you have the energy to take care of all the other people who need you!
