We are HERE! To say I'm jet-lagged would be a MASSIVE UNDERSTATEMENT. I had this post drafted- I just had to add the Gossamer Blue winner...and I don't think I can handle much more typing than that today.
But I do want to share our first photo in Italy!
Okay. Now back to the regularly scheduled posting. :)
xo
Happy Tuesday y'all!
I have a bunch of winners to announce today and I want to do that before I get to the feature.
Monica Bradford/Scrap Inspired-
julie e said...I'd love either proze - thanks for the chance. Hope your grand adventure is staying grand.
Scrapbook and Cards Today subscription and Card Maps issue-
Brenda said...I feel the same way about magazines! I absolutely adore SCT (such a high quality feel) and their blog so inspirational. Thanks for the chance to win from them!
Gossamer Blue 3 month Life Pages Subscription-
Ann at Travel Turtle is excited to announce that she will soon be rolling out more free products to her website. These will aim to help include children in all aspects of travel: the planning stages, while there, and upon return. It will include free downloads, printables, and projects that allow you to use tools you already own. Don't travel too often? No worries, many of these products can be used while exploring your own town.
She is also launching a new Google Plus community for memory keeping moms who travel. She'd love to have you join in so we can all learn from and share with each other.
Travel Turtle will continue to encourage families to explore and engage in their travel destinations.
So glad to see that you made it safely. Excited to read about the adventure when the jet lag is gone

Bonjourno! My kids are well traveled, we even lived in Tokyo for a year and took the twelve hour trip with two of them at ages 1 and 4! I have to say that my least favorite part of traveling is flying when the kids are right around 15 months old. No rationalizing with them on the rules and they just learned to get up and go - it's impossible to keep them quiet and sitting. But it's always fun to see them try new things and see new places along with us when we get there! I'll definitely check out travel turtle for ideas for our three kiddos.

wow, cannot imagine the sleepless hours AND with kiddos! we love to travel and with my four it gets easier the older they get but we still have issues in the car...the screaming, the touching, invading personal space. It never ends no matter how old!

Stephanie so glad you all arrived safely, got out about and explore, and share with us! I love to travel, I just got home from honoring the 150th anniversary of the Civil War in Gettysburg.I love the History of our country and can't wait to share in these adventures with our grandson who turns 1 on the 30th and he would love that suitcase so thanks for the chance to win!

Glad you all arrived safely!
We have yet to travel with both kids. I guess maybe it's the unpredictability of what will happen? Or - more likely - we can't afford to travel anymore. I'm sure my little guy would happily drag a Trunki around our house, though! :)

So happy you made it there safely!! Is this near venice?? It sounds strange, but this looks like the church that is just near my aunt's house in Italy-- that would be too funny if it was!

So glad you all made it there in one piece! I look forward to seeing Italy through your eyes. Traveling with kids, the best part? Enjoying things through their young eyes and just taking time to watch them (of course I'm talking about the grandchildren. Just went to Tampa, Florida with five of them this summer and had a great time.

What a great giveaway. The only discouraging thing about traveling is getting 2 sons, daughter, spouses, and 4 grandsons together. But when we do, it's wonderful.

Glad you arrived safely in Italy. I love to travel, but my 18-month-old son doesn't sleep well in hotels, so that has been discouraging. Hopefully, in time he'll get used to sleeping away from home and we can venture out more. Thanks for the chance to win!

Happy catching up on sleep and adjusting to life in Italy! We are encouraged to take our 4 children on travel adventures because they enjoy our time together and love to look at our scrapbooks later to remember the details of our fun.

Posted by: Stacey | 07/17/2013 at 06:58 AM
LOVE that photo!! Yummmmm gelato (even though I've never had it *in* Italy...yet!!) :)
I'm always intimidated to travel with my daughter (~20 mo) because I don't know what to expect... but then she always, always surprises us and is such a trooper! She is a ton of fun to travel with-- I just need to remember it.
Especially because we have a flight from the East Coast to the Midwest coming up... and then an 8-hour car ride to the beach a week after that...

PACKING. Packing for yourself plus your kids is exhausting.
Posted by: Erin R. | 07/23/2013 at 11:53 AM
During my daughter's toilet-training period, I got quite discouraged to travel with her by automobile. But aside from that, she is a great little traveler! We take an 8 hour round-trip by car about once a month to see friends and family, and she does very well. I love the opportunity to talk and teach about interesting things while on the road! adriannebraun@yahoo.com
