Guys. I'm obsessed. I've got it bad. I've been over Facebook for a while and I go back and forth on deleting Twitter. But Pinterest? Oh Pinterest you have my heart.
I was one of those girls that always had a binder full of ripped out magazine pages. A corkboard covered in inspiration.
And now? There's Pinterest. My digital binder. With almost 5,000 pins. Yowza.
This past year I decided to actually USE Pinterest. You know...not just pin. And I've really been doing it regularly. Recipes especially. Also design ideas. And fashion inspiration.
Here are what my boards look like. Yes, I organized them alphabetically. It had to be done. I also went through and got rid of a bunch of superflous boards and pins.
The boards I most pin to are:
1.'ashion (if you read my blog in ye olden days, you'll get this reference. anyone know??)
4. i believe
5. italy
6. munchies
8. party party
9. scrappy
And a few things I've done lately that are inspired by Pinterest:
1. Succulents. I have a zillion succulent pins and finally decided to buy some and try my hand at them. These numbered espresso cups made the perfect home.
2. Zara. I had to try some outfits on at Zara after pinning them to my 'ashion board so many times.
3. Crock Pot Honey Sesame Chicken from my munchies board.
4. Valentine's Day Party from my valentine's day board.
5. School Valentines from my valentine's day board.
6. Sadie's Frozen Themed Cake from my birthday parties board.
So now that I have written a NOVEL about Pinterest...whoa. Yeah, I love it a tiny bit. How about you? Do you pin? What's something you've pinned or made lately that is a must share?
Buona Giovedi!
xo
Ashion was Harper's way of saying fashion ;) I love the little pots you have your succulents in so much.

Haha Yes I totally remember Harper saying that. So cute :D I recently left facebook and I feel great. There are some things I miss but there's always so much drama and keeping up with the Jones.... I couldn't be bothered. I rarely posted anything because I was always thinking ya nobody really cares and if they do they probably already know... I looooove pinterest too. Cyber hoarding. lol. I don't know if I could pick a favourite board, but I try to make things from it (my tried and true board) and I get so much inspiration from it. It just makes me happy. Did you post about Sadie's party? You always make the girls the sweetest parties and I love seeing all the details you put into it. Have a great day!

Yes!!! I never signed up for Facebook because I hear sooo many people complain about it, then ask me to sign up. Never made sense to me. Pinterest was a whole nother story. Love finding ideas, but I try to only pin things that I'll actually attempt to do. Here's some of our latest finds:
Playdoh mats - my 3 yr old loves these

We did this for St. Patrick's day, but it would totally work for Spring. Bubble Wrap Rainbow:

We've been hooked on green smoothies lately. Even my daughter so we always look for new recipes. This is a fav that we just discovered.

Oh I love Pinterest!! I just looked at my boards and I have over 13,000 pins. Holy crap!! Clearly I have a problem :) hehe
I really need to take the time & clean things up a bit and delete duplicates (from when they didn't used to alert you when you were pinning something you already pinned). I've been pretty good about trying lots of different things from my boards. Not all, of course, but I've tried TONS of recipes and other ideas for parties, snacks, etc. In fact, yesterday I made one of our favorite soups found on Pinterest: http://www.pinterest.com/pin/268386459017875704/.
I got into canning a lot after moving to WA 3yrs ago (lots of farms & fresh foods!) so Pinterest has helped me out immensely.

I have made this pin 4 times now. The kids love it! If you choose to try it, I highly recommend that you use the changes that I (copied and pasted from the recipe comments) have written in the comments section of the pin. It's the only way I've made it and it rocks. http://www.pinterest.com/pin/119275090105441722/
Also, for snacks this : http://www.pinterest.com/pin/119275090105454064/ & this (made with coconut oil) http://www.pinterest.com/pin/119275090105514057/ are sinfully delicious.
And, lastly, for dinner this : http://www.pinterest.com/pin/119275090105339276/
and this : http://www.pinterest.com/pin/119275090104888521/ both rock!

I never felt the need for a Facebook page, but I do love Pinterest and Instagram too!

Of course I know the ashion reference!! Harper created the term 'ashion when she was little. I follow you on Pinterest! You're 'ashion board is one of my favorites!

I love love loved Harper's 'ashion posts. So adorable. ok now I feel like a stalker but I thought those videos were so cute!

I love Pinterest too, and I think I am close to 11,000 pins-yikes! To avoid just pinning, and not making, I try to post something I have made every Thursday to my blog. I have definitely found some good recipes, but my favorites are crafts I find to make with my kids!

I remember 'ashion!!! so funny
Posted by: Lisa Martin | 03/29/2014 at 08:30 PM
Every time I see you pin something to your 'ashion board, I picture Harper saying it. LOL. Isn't that funny?
I've also gotten *really* into Pinterest. It's great... I'm on Facebook much less. ;-) So nice. Facebook drains me. Pinterest inspires me. ... unless I'm too busy to *do* anything that I pin, and then Pinterest overwhelms me. LOL. Funny now that works. ;-)
I used to only pin things as I browsed the internet. I wouldn't browse people's pins, looking for stuff to pin, no. That's not what it was for me. It is now. ;-) And I am so proud to say that I actually use my pins on a weekly basis. More than that, even. Several times a week. Feels good. Feels productive. Love that.
As always, thank you for your continued inspiration. :-)

I love Pinterest... but I do find it dangerous... you think you'll have just a few minutes looking then bam... hours have passed! Love using it too. Each week when menu planning for the week ahead I look through my recipe board, school projects often start with some inspiration from Pinterest, I'm even starting to plan outfits from my style board. Although I still have a folder of magazine pages ;-)

Beautiful cake! I do not PIN but I read everyone else's. lol. I do have a desktop file on my computer and I just drag and drop addresses into it. They are searchable by topic. So if I want to revisit something really cool I just go into my files. Sort of the same thing. And really useful.

I also LOVE Pinterest!!! Especially for recipes. I use it for my menu planning every week. I have also used it for quite a bit of creative inspiration for holidays, wreaths and card making.
