My first instinct is to apologize, but in all actuality I've really enjoyed my time away. Life is really full right now. And that has left minimal time for blogging. And that's okay because I've been experiencing the chaos. :)
It takes hours to do blog posts due to the Internet speed here, if you are an Instagram person (Instagram is my happy place!) you can always follow me at @stephaniehowell .
Here are a couple of things I wanted to share.
1. My sweet friend Tara Pakosta has been through the struggle + battle of a lifetime with the love of her life, Michael - who was diagnosed with a GBM Grade 4 brain tumor almost 3 years ago. The financial struggle has been so great for this precious family.
A mutual crafty friend set up a Stella and Dot party in Tara's name. All proceeds will be donated to her family. If you would like to take part, SHOP HERE.
2. I started a new Instagram account (@whatstephreads) all about books + reading. I'm kind of obsessed with it. If you are a bookworm like me you can follow me HERE!
That's about it. Crazy season is in full swing! Harper is performing in Aladdin Jr. and her voice recital is coming up, Sadie just started tennis (and promptly fell in love). The littles aren't so little anymore- but they are as hilarious as ever. Life is good. Hope you are all well- so happy to say hi today!
thank you so much steph, you are a sweetheart and I appreciate this so much!
xoxo

So sorry to hear about your friend :-( I just read an article that they are experimenting with injecting polio virus into this type of tumor with great success! I used to be a neuro-ICU nurse so understand the devastation this terrible disease brings to families. Might be something for them to look into?

Hi Stephanie,
I am a mom, scrapbooker and reader who has followed and enjoyed you through your blog, goodreads and Instagram for quite awhile even though I think I've probably only commented once. I know this might be kind of random but I am taking my 14 year old daughter on a trip to the east coast to visit some colleges and to see some fun cities on the along the way. I know you lived in Rhode Island for awhile and was wondering if you could recommend places to stay or things to do in Newport.
I love following all of your adventures on your blog and also love to hear about all of the books you read (we have very similar tastes in books).
Thank you so much!

thank you so much for posting this! We did look into that and unfortunately my husband doesn't qualify. Many factors are considered for different trials...it's sad.
