Hey y'all and happy Monday!
I just wanted to pop in quickly today and share what I'm planning on doing for Week in the Life™ this year. If you're not familiar with the concept (and I'm pretty sure everyone is) then click on the link above. It's one of Ali's concepts and it's marvelous.
I've ALWAYS wanted to do this project and I've never gotten around to it. I've always had a million excuses. This isn't a good week for me, it would be too repetitive...heck I even had an excuse this year. I wanted to order Ali's kit and I didn't have time. I also wanted to do the project next week instead of this week.
NEWSFLASH! Those aren't good reasons to not do this. I made my own kit and I am doing it next week instead of this week. This week the bigs are in camp all week. Next week is our last week of summer vacation, our last week of summer vacation as a family of six! Why was I so hung up on these issues when they really weren't issues??
I'm so weird.
Anyway, here's my title page.
I'm using a 6x8 Studio Calico Handbook for the album. For the supplies I basically just dug through my stash. Almost all of these embellishments are ones I received in my Gossamer Blue kits.
Some of my favorite manufacturers (the ones I use over and over and over) that you will see in my album are :
Liz Tamanaha for Gossamer Blue
sequins and doilies from my stash
The cards are all:
Paislee Press (digital cards)
Digital Design Essentials (digital cards)
One Little Bird (digital cards)
Here's a closeup look at some of the things I've gathered.
I look forward to continuing to prep this week and then starting the project next Monday!
What about you...are you in?
xoxo

I will attempt it again this year. I have one completed album from 2011 and dug it out this morning. I LOVED going through it and seeing my oldest son at 12 getting ready for his first year of modified football and now today, he just turned 16 and will start his first year of varsity. I can't believe how time flew! The years since I kept notes and took the pics but never finished anything. This year I'm determined to put something together. Also, I'm pulling together my own kit as well. Looking forward to seeing how you document.

I'm waiting until next month. We will be in Indiana for my niece's wedding & to visit our daughters & grandkids. I have done this several times & our ordinary weeks are pretty routine(we're retired living a long way from family.) I think it will be neat to document the road trip & our activities.

i love the kit you've put together AND i'm doing it (for the first time also) next week too! we can cheer each other on! :) next week will be a bit normal & a bit special: we start homeschool on wednesday, so i thought it would be perfect to combine everyday end of summer, everyday back to homeschool, and end with my birthday. :)

I have my Ali kit here and hope to get the album set up a bit and do "week in the life" next week as well. My son starts university in September and I know how quickly life is changing and enjoy looking thru my previous albums….always a project I enjoy completing.

I'm doing this for the first time. I attempted once, did 1 day and then forgot about it. It's day 2 and I'm still feeling it. We moved over the summer and my 2 girls started a new school last week. We still have the same routines but things are different and it just seemed like the perfect time to document this. Good luck next week and I hope you'll share some of your pages.
