Introducing Cora Jane Howell
Cora Jane Howell
Born September 30 at 12:25 pm
7 lbs 6 oz
Most hair we've ever seen on a baby girl- and we know baby girls with hair!
Sweet Cora came into this world quickly and loudly. 2 hours from the moment I walked in the hospital doors!
The moment they said the words "It's a girl!" I just knew. I knew I was meant to do this. To raise strong, brave, compassionate, fierce little women. She is my joy and my heart and she was a missing puzzle piece that I didn't even know I was missing.
We are complete.
Cora means "maiden" but for us it's more of a nod to the Italian word ancora. Ancora means: again, more, another still. Encore. Cora is our little Italian encore. 5 little women.
And Jane means God's gracious gift.
That she is.
We are in love.
Thanks for sharing in our joy and happiness. Thanks for loving our family. We are so grateful for each of you and your support and encouragement over the years.
xoxo

Happy for you! Hope you're feeling fine!

I apparently missed this blog so I was curious and found it on the internet!
How glad I did...so you have another lovely girl...how precious is that!
I am really happy for you, a little boy would have been nice but you know he would have been so tormented by all his big sisters!
I love her name, quite apt, your little Italian!!
Congrats, so happy for you!!

A really good friend of mine has 6 sisters -- no brothers. They now range in age from about 45 to 60. They are each other's best friends and support - through boyfriends, marriages, divorces, sickness, babies, jobs, etc. -- they are very much different in personalities but at the same time they can be a single unit when they need to be. All but one live in the same city. I have known them for over 30 years and have always been envious of their strong bond and the bond they all have with their mother. Every year they go for a girls weekend with their mom -- and it is such a treat to listen to their stories. Stephanie - your girls are in for a great life - each of them have 4 sisters that will have their back (and yours) forever. Congratulations on your little Cora.
