sorry this week's post is a day late. i kind of forgot to type it up, oops!
i hope your weekend was wonderful! i slept until almost 9 yesterday..WHAT? and imagine my surprise to wake up to a post by J. :)
i never thought that husbands actually wrote on their wives blogs, i thought the wives had to know what they were doing...but i definitely didn't. i was sleeping. HA!
love that he did that, he's not super romantic on a regular basis, so when he says things like that it really means a lot to me. although it also slightly makes me nervous that he figured out how to post so easily. :)
also, thank you so much for your kind words about harper's may flowers birthday party. it really was so fun do for her!
moving on the the "scrappiness" of today's post...

supply list: all jbs, except for alpha (collage press) and die cut cardstock background (anna griffin)
i used my slice and the studio essentials design card to make the scalloped circles behind the butterflies.
am i allowed to say that this is one of my most favorite pages ever? well it is. i cannot tell a lie. :)
i did this one for the jbs inspiration blog. we are focusing on stamps this month and while at first i panicked...i saw that my assignment was to use this stamp:

i figured i could make it work, to quote tim gunn.
i stamped the image using JBS lemon drops ink. at first i stamped it onto white cardstock and while it certainly was pretty...it needed more oomph.
so i stamped the image on this paper from the red/black extension III line

and loved it so much more. a few pop dots and bent wings and it officially made me happy:
so guess that i am slowly but surely coming around to stamping. huh. who knew! :)
have a beautiful,blessed monday!
xxo
