New MME layouts!

Hey y'all! Happy Friday!

I just wanted to share some layouts I made with the new MME lines and show you how you can win them.

These were for an email blast that MME sent out, so they are a little different than my usual layouts (fewer photos,more product driven, no mixing of brands)...but I love these new lines and wanted to share them.

This one is the Cambridge Court color scheme from the new Kate&Co. line.

I am in love with Kate and Co. It is bright, happy,and fresh.

This next layout was made using the Up and Away color scheme from Rhonna Farrer's new line Find Your Wings and Fly.

It's romantic and modern all at once. And I'm not typically a romantic product lover, but y'all..this is a gorgeous line.

2 Peas in a Pod- MME

I just got back a box full of My Mind's Eye layouts from CHA.

As I was sorting through them, this one brought a big grin to my face.

And I realized I never shared it here!

One day Sadie and I were bored, so we started playing around with my iPhone.

When I saw the results I cracked up. Guess I know where she gets her facial expressions. HA!

This layout uses papers and embellishments from the Collectable-Notable line.

It's the happiest collection of colors and patterns and I adore it.

I backed each strip with patterned paper and then put washi tape on the left and right borders of the photo mat (the arrow strips are tape).

A scattering of chipboard flowers, enamel dots, and stick pins complete the easy and quick layout.

For those of you wondering how I did the photobooth strips, I used the Incredibooth App (which I LOVE).

She She and Cake

I have a layout to share today and a a story to go along with it!

I wanted to tell the story behind the page. Cate and Lucy are SO funny right now.

They laugh at each other, hug and kiss each other, and beat the you know what out of each other. I wish I was kidding on that last one, but I'm not. I'm talking "2 stooges" here. Face slapping, hair pulling, eye poking. Good times.

Moving on.

They call each other "She She"- Lucy and "Cake"-Cate. And I love it SO MUCH I can hardly stand it.

I don't ever want to forget it.

Funny story. Jimmy told me that the other night they were both in their high chairs (quite some distance apart) and Cate started biting her hand...

Sidenote: They are in that "I am two" phase where if you tell them "No" they get so frustrated that they are beside themselves and don't know what to do. They get so frenzied that sometimes they go "ARRRRR" and bite their own hands. HAHAHAH!

I know how that feels...don't you? I might try it, hehehe.

Back to the story.

So "Cake" starts biting her own hand and "She She" starts screaming "Cake NO, no bite!" "OUCH!" and holding her own hand and crying. Bahahaha. Twin empathy?

They are nuts, y'all. NUTS.

Scrappy News

Lori (the owner) and I have known each other through the industry for quite some time. She's an awesome lady and I couldn't be more excited to see her succeed in her new endeavors!

I got my box yesterday and I have to tell you it's amazing. And I'm not just saying that because I'm guesting there. Dear Lizzy and all of my favorite brands...all brand spanking new. I can't wait to play!

I hope y'all have a beautiful and blessed Tuesday...Happy OCTOBER! I am so thrilled to live in a place that I can finally really,truly experience autumn!

i'm up on the mme blog today with a new layout. for a supply list and a photo of the amazing emily spahn layout i lifted to make this layout, head on over. :)

h and s have started playing together SO much more, i wanted to make a page about it. this photo is from a birthday party they were at this weekend, they are watching/cheering for some kids that were running in a race.

i have to tell you again (and again,and again,and again) how much i love mme enamel dots and sequins. i am NOT a mist kind of gal. never have been, most likely never will be. i kept trying (because everyone else seems to love mist) but i never enjoyed using it.

that's why enamel dots are the perfect thing for me. they kind of look like splatters. but they aren't messy and it isn't hard to use them. i love sequins for the same reason.

The Sweetest Thing

Okay, that wasn't much of a blog break. But Jimmy is back at work today (yeah,yeah,yeah) and I am SO dang excited to share this new MME collection with y'all.

I don't combine "business" with "pleasure" very often here. I haven't talked about MME much. But to be fair, this job is my business AND my pleasure. I love MME so much and I have for years. As a crafter I have just been a fan...plain and simple

My favorite collection has always been Stella and Rose. But this new line blows that one out of the water, and I officially (truly) have a new favorite.

My Hero

I've got a new layout up on the MME blog today. I've been working hard over there ...won't you  head on over for more photos and details ?

I know I don't do many military pages so i thought it was high time I changed that.

Making this one gave me comfort yesterday and (dare I say it?) made me want to make more pages!

My Mind's Eye Blog Hop!

So today is my first big project for My Mind's Eye. A blog hop! I'm so glad you found your way here, I had a blast putting this together and I am thrilled that so many amazing women agreed to join in.

Today is all about celebrating the new My Mind's Eye blog. It's still a work in progress, but I'm pretty proud of it. What do you think? I want to thank the fabulous Jen Allyson for helping me design the blog. She's amazing. :)

MME is also celebrating our foray into social media. Twitter,FB,Pinterest...you name it. I'm committed to being accessible and present and so excited to share my love of MME. Have I mentioned how thrilled I am about this new job?

I am. I'm having FUN. I'm challenged, busy, and happy.

i am so happy to share

I am so happy and so excited to share some news with you An amazing, unexpected opportunity has come my way.

I have been wanting...needing a change lately. I feel like it is time to do something new. Stretch myself creatively, professionally.

It's time for me to go back to work, but I didn't want to go back to teaching. I needed to contribute financially to my family but I am still burned out from teaching. I was stuck.

And then I got a really great email.

I am thrilled to announce that I've accepted a job with My Mind's Eye.

I will be the social media director. From relaunching the blog,twitter, FB...to interacting with the community of scrapbookers out there..that will be me.

I will also be designing with their products,traveling to shows (CHA), and all kinds of other things.

To say I'm thrilled would be a massive,massive understatement.

But I'm also very nervous. This is a big change. And with change comes goodbyes. I will be saying goodbye to my current obligations.

I have resigned from Jenni Bowlin Design and I will be leaving Studio Calico at the end of my current term.

I love Jenni and April as friends, bosses,inspiration...I don't just love their products, I love and believe in them.

Leaving is hard. And scary. And I am nervous, but also really really really (is that enough reallys??) excited.

It's time for me to do something new. It's time for me to let go of what's familiar and pour myself into something else.

The very first paper i EVER bought was Wild Asparagus by MME. Since then I have loved almost everything they have done. This isn't an exaggeration. It's a brand I love,use,believe in. I am proud and blessed to have the opportunity to represent them.

This one one of the new MME lines...no coincidence if you ask me. This job is perfect for me.  I am so excited to be a part of launching a new online presence for My Mind's Eye.

Here's to new,exciting,and scary. Here's to unexpected offers, and here's to following my heart.
