wow. i don't even know where to start with this one.
she cracks me up. she told me she was ready for me to film and then she came downstairs with all of these dresses in her arms and told me to hang them up for her.
i cannot wait to see what is in this girl's future. she's a trip. i think she might end up as a commentator on E's Fashion Police!
also? i LOVE when i bust sadie singing "firework". and when i totally embarrass her by filming her, please note her socks. HEE!
and don't ask me where my kids come up with this stuff.
because i have
no
earthly
idea.
but it sure does keep me entertained!
and honestly? have i failed as a mother? my child thinks black is not 'ashion? i must teach her about audrey hepburn and the little black dress. immediately. note to self: order this today.
and miss harper is not one to be outdone. i actually have a video of her singing a phoenix song last week, but she is sans shirt. so needless to say that shall not be shared. hee!
but if you want to know the depths of her daddy's love, check out the video below.
yes, he IS playing justin bieber (or justin beaver, as harper prefers to call him.) on his guitar. he is. what a daddy.
sidenote: i do NOT have bieber fever. at all. i do kinda want to pinch his little baby cheeks and cut his man shag, but i don't dig him. now mr. efron...that's a different story.
thinking of starting a cougars for zefron club. if you are interested, let me know. HEEE!
first, i want to share our announcement for cate and lucy. my beautiful friend lisa dickinson made these as a gift for me. she is so talented, and these are so very beautiful!
since i can't send one to each and every one of you (and i totally would if i could), i wanted to share it here.
i thought of saving this for tomorrow, but not sure i will have time, so i just thought i'd put it up today. :)
what can i say, the preggers brain makes me all over the place!
first, i wanted to share a video of the girls singing the "daddy deployment song". many of you have asked about it, and have wanted to share it with your kiddos. the girls are kind of spazzy (hmmm wonder where they got THAT???) so if you can't understand, here are the words.
I also wanted to share another layout. i know...CRAZY! this happened to me during my last pregancy too...no desire to create at ALL until five months or so and then BOOM!!!
i did this for kelly purkey's sketch book class at studio calico (sketch #2)...i'm having so much fun playing along!
supplies:
patterned paper: GCD Studios (pink), BasicGrey (green), My Mind's Eye (yellow around bottom photo), Narratives (scalloped)
ribbon: craft supply
scalloped journaling cards: JBS
letter stickers: american crafts
Like I said earlier, tomorrow is the big day! Harper got to talk to her Daddy today...he was trying to tell her to listen to her teacher, be kind...be the wonderful big girl that she is. But he said that she kept talking over him and saying "I GOT A NEW DRESS AND NEW SHOES AND I'M GOING TO WEAR TWO BRAIDS IN MY HAIR!!!". heee! bless her sweet little heart.
I won't lie, I'm going to be a bit teary tomorrow. She will be going to full day Pre-K. And i will MISS her. But I know this. She will shine, she will love it. She will bloom. And Sadie will get more Mommy time. And I think that will be really good for everyone.
***thanks for your emails about the carseat. i will definitely tighten the latch on sadie's so it doesn't even move. and i know the belts weren't tight enough...we weren't going anywhere...i was just taping them. off to tighten the seat!***
harper has LOVED this shins song (sleeping lessons) since she was a little girl.
and she's done this out of control dance to it for a loooong time. she used to call it BIG LOUD!!! when she was a baby b/c she'd wait for the "loud part" to start dancing.
they do it in the back seat every time we listen to this CD, and it makes me GRIN every single time...
anyway, thought you could use the smile today.
several points i'd like to discuss: a. i was NOT driving. we were in the driveway and i was like a pretzel in the front seat, so that i could tape it. hence the shaking.
b. i don't think any brains were scrambled in this process. you never know, though...that's serious dancing.
c. ignore the nose picking.
d. sorry for the looooongest intro ever. but miss fancy pants H would NOT let me tape unless i did it the "real way"...from the very beginning.
e. another sorry for my high pitched spazzy voice. sometimes i get very overly excited/hyper.
